Alternatively, Beatrix Potter’s former home, Hill Top (13 miles) is worth a visit.
This is a lovely lodge, a separate annexe to the main house, with its own entrance. It is stylishly furnished throughout, with bright and spacious rooms. From the entrance hall, you can access a super-king-size bedroom featuring a Smart TV with an en-suite shower room, as well as a twin bedroom which also features a Smart TV, with zip-and-link beds that can be combined into a king-size on request, and a family bathroom.
