The interior is thoroughly modern with swathes of natural light making the open-plan living area a soothing space. The lounge is a sociable spot with a plump sofa that invites you to sit and chat or relax with a good film. When the weather is good, push open the bi-folding doors and let Fido safely roam around the walled patio while you prepare a delicious meal in the bright and modern kitchen. Dine at the elegant table overlooking the lounge or better yet, gather everyone together and eat at the patio table. When the day draws to an end, sleepyheads can choose between a super-king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom. Both bedrooms are wonderfully comfortable and beautifully presented. Outside, the patio area is a charming space. In the morning, enjoy the sound of birdsong in the trees, and in the evening take it easy in the hot tub. Guests also have use of the grounds and wooded area around Applethwaite Hall.
Enjoy woodland walks straight from the door or pull on hiking boots and head with Fido to Wansfell Pike (5 miles). Lake Windermere is 2 miles away and is a beautiful place for a stroll or lakeside picnic. From Lake Windermere, it’s a gentle walk to the top of Orrest Head where you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views.
