Treat yourselves to a stay at the heart of picture-postcard Grasmere. Situated above a shop and restaurant, this apartment provides the perfect opportunity to discover the historic, Lakeland village, which was once home to poet William Wordsworth. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom bolthole boasts a wealth of character. It is 0.5 miles from Grasmere Water and 4 miles from the market town of Ambleside, with its access to Lake Windermere.
Make your way up to the apartment and enter to find a hall with space for walking boots and jackets. Head through to the lounge/diner, with its large window overlooking the village. Gather here to play games, find a film on the TV and dine together at the table. The kitchen has everything you need to help you cater for your party with the tasty produce you have sourced nearby. As day turns to night and you are ready to rest and recuperate, head through to one of your beautiful bedrooms. These include a superb king-size, with beams and an en-suite shower room. There is also a twin room that can be arranged as a super-king instead by prior discussion. This bedroom has its own TV. There is also a family bathroom in the apartment. Although there is no outside space with this property, the gorgeous Wordsworth Daffodil Garden is within 350 metres.
Make your way into Ambleside to discover a wider range of independent shops and eateries. From here, book a carriage or walk 1 mile to Waterhead to board a cruise on Windermere. Hire boats to take yourselves out onto the water instead. Visit Rydal Mount and Gardens, 2.5 miles from the apartment, to stroll around the exquisite house and gardens where Wordsworth lived and take in the impressive views of Windermere and Rydal Water.
