Step inside to a welcoming entrance hall. To your left, the snug awaits with a crackling wood burner set within an elegant fireplace, creating a cosy ambience. Adjacent is the well-equipped kitchen/diner, designed with culinary creativity and shared meal times in mind. Descend a set of steep cottage stairs to the lower ground floor, where you'll find the TV room, which boasts a 65" Smart TV for a cinematic experience during movie nights, with plush sofas providing comfortable seating. On the first floor is the main lounge with a Smart TV, offering another inviting space for relaxation. This floor also features a stylish king-size bedroom and a bathroom with an elegant roll-top bath and a separate shower cubicle. On the second floor, you'll find two more king-size bedrooms with sloping ceilings that add character to the space. A convenient shower room completes the internal layout. Outside, there’s an enclosed courtyard garden with stylish outdoor furniture, creating an ideal space for al fresco dining or enjoying a morning coffee.

Famed as the childhood home of poet William Wordsworth, Cockermouth boasts an array of local shops, art galleries, cafes, pubs and restaurants. For the adventurous, pack your hiking boots and explore the nearby lakes of Bassenthwaite, Buttermere, Crummock and Loweswater, all within an 11-mile radius. Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy the Lake District Wildlife Park (7 miles away), while thrill-seekers can head to Whinlatter Forest (7 miles) for Go Ape adventures or bike rentals to explore forest trails. We had a lovely stay. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The beds are very comfy too. Only downside was the lack of parking as we had two cars, however there are a couple of car parks within walking distance.
