This sweet little residence is in a beautiful, wooded spot between the towns of Ambleside and Langdale (both 5 miles), within the Lake District National Park. It’s a ground-floor apartment with one double bedroom, making it a wonderful retreat for a solo traveller or couple. You’ll find a pub and a shop within 1 mile, along with easy access to local beauty spots, including Skelwith Force (2 miles).

Step inside this welcoming apartment, which is decorated in a contemporary style with splashes of colour and sleek metal accents. The open-plan living space includes a lounge, kitchen and dining area, with French doors leading outside to the patio. When it’s time to retire for the night, head to the stylish and cosy double bedroom, which has pretty, printed curtains and a warm colour scheme; there’s a second set of French doors also opening directly onto a sheltered space on the patio. Outside, you can sit at the bistro table with a cuppa and a book. Between chapters, be sure to enjoy the views of a tranquil pond set against a backdrop of ancient trees – you may even spot the odd red squirrel leaping about.

When it’s time to venture outside, adventure awaits in your stunning Lake District surroundings, with excellent hiking, climbing and cycling opportunities on tap. You can easily drive to popular spots like Stock Ghyll Force, Rydal Cave and the iconic Langdale Pikes, all within 6 miles. Explore the former home of poet William Wordsworth in Grasmere (8 miles) and lap up the grandeur of England’s largest lake at Windermere (9 miles), where you can take walks and boat rides in this stunning setting.

This could do with some improvements, & replacement items.I:e microwave(rusty),mattress (stains all over it) heater in bedroom (massive yellow mark on it),& everything basically needs a proper clean a bit of a pain when you have to clean things yourself when you get there, shame as it is situated in a lovely setting.

Great property, lovely setting, can sit with the patio door open, and listen to the birds, and watch the wildlife, even though its a block of 4 , with i think a block of 8 next to it, it was whisper quiet , to the point where i took the battery out of the kitchen clock, as it was the loudest thing i could hear. Its a woodland setting , so the viewsRead more are shrouded by the trees a bit, but still a lovely setting. Hide
