Ideally located between Coniston Water and Lake Windermere, this characterful family-friendly farmhouse in the Lake District National Park is a fantastic place to stay for easy access to walking routes and waterside adventures. Enjoying features such as a wood burner and a country-style kitchen, you'll feel at home from the moment you step inside, leaving the hustle and bustle of everyday life at the door.

The living room encourages guests to kick back and relax with a cool, neutral colour palette, cosy sofas and rustic features. Here you can light the wood burner for added warmth during the winter months to create a wonderful ambience for a family film night. Next door, the kitchen has a traditional feel with everything you'll need to prepare meals at all times of the day with an adjoining dining area featuring a six-seater dining table. Completing the ground floor is the handy utility room with washing facilities, a fridge freezer and a WC. Upstairs are three neutrally styled bedrooms, two of which boast king-size beds, whilst the third is a twin, perfect for children. The bedrooms share use of the elegant family bathroom with its roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle. Outside, the garden is generously sized with a patio area and a lawned area for your enjoyment.

Whilst staying in Grizedale, the Forest Centre (1 mile) is a must-visit for those in search of a thrill, offering an array of treetop adventures, walking and cycling trails and a cafe to refuel at. Spend a day at the iconic Lake Windermere (12 miles) and you can hop aboard a cruise for a leisurely afternoon for a unique experience, or simply stroll around the calm waters in search of the local wildlife and birdlife. If you're a food lover, make time to dine out in Cartmel (15 miles), the home of the sticky toffee pudding, as well as two fantastic Michelin star restaurants.
