Gather your friends and together for a memorable break in the Lake District National Park at this traditionally styled property which boasts charming features such as exposed beams and a wood burner. You'll find a fantastic day out in Coniston (8 miles) where you can challenge yourself on a walk around the Coniston Fells Circular, or simply stroll beside Coniston Water and soak in the serenity of the local area.

Offering a cosy space to unwind, the living room/diner retains much of its original charm with a warming wood burner and two large, luxurious sofas. The antique dining table is perfect for evening meals or board game competitions, located beside a window for a lovely ambience. Next door, the kitchen is light and bright with dual-aspect windows and an array of seating including a breakfast bar. One of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor for easy access, furnished with a single bed with a shower room across the hall. The three remaining bedrooms are located on the first floor, including a twin room which is ideal for children. The final two bedrooms are sympathetically styled in keeping with the property's history, furnished with a king-size bed and a double bed. When the sun is shining, the front patio is a lovely spot to soak in the scenery, whilst the wildlife garden to the rear draws you in to explore the wildlife and pretty pond.

Pay a visit to the coast at Haverigg Beach (10 miles) and spend a day relaxing on the sand, or opt for a rugged walk along the coastal path to be rewarded by awe-inspiring scenery. For something a little different, Cartmel (20 miles) is well worth a visit for any foodies in the group as a hidden gem of fine dining with two Michelin star restaurants, as well as for its beauty and history, including the ancient priory.

Although the cottage is beautiful and one cannot complain about anything the location leaves a lot to be desired. The garden areas were all over grown with nowhere to walk or the dogs to play. The public footpath in front of the cottage was downhill with a 4 foot style to lift the dogs over and another on the steep hillside further on. The farmer sRead moreprayed the fields with some horrible liquid which left nowhere to go for a walk. The road leading to the Cottage is horrendous. No passing areas. Hide
