We had a lovely holiday at Middle Bleansley - plenty of space for 7 of us. The house is a great place to get away from busy lives and a short walk to broughton-in-furness with shops, cafe and pubs. We drove to Coniston to do a clearly marked but steep walk up the 'old man of coniston'. If we'd been staying longer we'd like to have done more walks fRead morerom the house, explored the area towards the estuary and coast, and booked one of the many adventure experiences available from Coniston. A lovely cottage which is well appointed with a light and modern kitchen and a large living space. The wi-fi coped well (even for some work), although there certainly is limited mobile phone signal! Although the cottage is beautiful and one cannot complain about anything the location leaves a lot to be desired. The garden areas were all over grown with nowhere to walk or the dogs to play. The public footpath in front of the cottage was downhill with a 4 foot style to lift the dogs over and another on the steep hillside further on. The farmer sRead moreprayed the fields with some horrible liquid which left nowhere to go for a walk. The road leading to the Cottage is horrendous. No passing areas. Hide
