Relish the style and sophistication of this beautiful barn conversion near Brampton. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom retreat is the perfect holiday haven for a family or couples eager to explore Cumbria with a four-legged friend. Situated 2.5 miles from the North Pennines, the barn is 12 miles from historic Carlisle. Exquisitely designed, it nestles in a lawned garden and captures fabulous views out across the surrounding countryside.

Enter via the dining hall, with its glass walls and ceiling that bring the light flooding in. This is the perfect place to gather for your meals. Take a step down into the lounge/kitchen to prepare these delicious feasts. The kitchen area features a breakfast bar where you can perch with a glass of wine as you chat to the chef in your party. While away your evenings on the comfortable seating in the lounge area, watching the Smart TV and making plans for the following day. There is also a separate snug, with a second TV for alternative viewing, a utility room and family wet room at ground-floor level. Climb the gorgeous wooden staircase up to the galleried landing to find your bedrooms. These include two king-sizes and a twin. There is also a family bathroom, with a lovely free-standing bath where you can soak in hot bubble baths, upstairs. Take the children and your four-legged friend out to chase about the garden on fine days. Dine out here too and linger over a bottle of wine as the sun goes down on warm summer nights.

Venture 3.5 miles from the barn to see part of Hadrian's Wall at the Denton Hall Turret, where you can also stroll down a section of a Roman Road. Plan a day trip into the Lake District, 26 miles away.

An excellent barn, well presented and located for local amenities. Some great walks/eateries and places to visit and with Carlisle on the door step a train ride to Edinburgh for the day is easily do-able.

Ace time. What a wonderful cottage, crafted with such a tasteful eye. Small actions can lead to such a big difference our hosts took the time to hoist a birthday flag for my 9yr old. She felt 10ft tall! Thank you !!

An absolutely gorgeous barn in a peaceful location. Ali was lovely and we felt very comfortable knowing she was there to help if we needed (though we didn't). We loved the surroundings and watching the local wildlife. The barn was in a great location for our visits to Hadrian's Wall, Carlisle, the Lakes, and even slightly further afield, such as KiRead moreelder Water and Newcastle. There are also some lovely spots nearby for walks - Gelt Woods particularly, but also Lanercost and Talkin Tarn. Excellent! Hide
