Set out across beautiful Cumbria and follow a section of Hadrian's Wall Path from this gorgeous, modern cottage at Crosby-on-Eden. Sleeping eight guests, and welcoming four-legged friends as well, the four-bedroom retreat is perfect for an extended family group or two families together. Situated 4.5 miles from Carlisle, it has an enclosed garden for summer relaxation and a wood burner for cosy winter nights.

Head inside this beautifully designed, contemporary hideaway to find accommodation with a warm and welcoming ambience. Shuffle off your wellies or walking boots in the hall and wander on through to the lovely lounge to stoke up the wood burner, which is set into a brick inglenook fireplace, on chilly evenings. Open the leaded door to the garden in here on fine days. Play games together or watch your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. Make your way through to the splendid kitchen/diner, with its marble-finished central island, to prepare great feasts with the Cumbrian produce you have sourced in Carlisle. Dine together in style at the table in here too. One of your double bedrooms and a family shower room are also downstairs. Head up to the floor above to find the family bathroom, together with a second double bedroom, a super-king-size and a twin. Spill out into the lawned garden to dine in the sunshine and play games with the children and their canine companions.

Venture into Carlisle to visit the castle and cathedral and to browse in colourful shopping areas. Head 9 miles to the fringes of the North to follow a myriad of picturesque footpaths. Plan a day trip into the magnificent Lake District, which begins 17 miles from your cottage. Make a foray to Gretna Green and over the border into Scotland, 13 miles away.

Excellent holiday home well situated and very well equipped. All you require for your holiday. Very clean and tidy. Good area for your children and dog to play to the rear of building With some good walks along the river. Car parking fine for three cars.

The house was excellent, beautifully presented, well equipped, lots of space, very welcoming hosts and perfect for dogs with the good sized secure garden. Location was great with ample parking, easy to find and Gretna, Carlisle and the garden centre in easy distance for days out. Excellent communication with the hosts, lovely welcome hamper and excRead moreellent food and taxi recommendations. We would definitely recommend it to other people and stay here again ourselves! A spacious yet homely cottage with all you need, the welcome basket a lovely touch and much appreciated. Lovely walks along the banks of the River Eden from the door - great for four legged friends. We would definitely return here another time.
