Located in the heart of Portinscale, this property is in an ideal location for getting out and about to explore both the immediate and wider area. Portinscale offers a choice of places to eat and drink, perfect when you don’t feel like cooking. Walk from the door into Keswick or through the pastoral splendour of Newlands Valley, or take a boat around Derwentwater to enjoy the view. Climb Skiddaw and enjoy panoramic views of the Lake District and, on clear days, right across to Scotland. Cyclists can challenge themselves on the passes at Whinlatter, Honister and Newlands or try the off-road tracks at Whinlatter. Those looking for a slower pace can explore Mirehouse and its rambling gardens or take in a show at the ever-popular Theatre by the Lake. Keswick has a myriad of places to eat, a good range of independent shops to browse and a great ice cream parlour.

As you ascend the four steps to the front door, you will enter the spacious open-plan design, seamlessly integrating a well-appointed kitchen, a charming dining area, and a lounge adorned with high ceilings, rustic beams, and warm wooden floors. Sunlight streams through floor-to-ceiling windows, offering breathtaking views of the majestic fells. A cosy wood burner adds a touch of warmth, creating an inviting atmosphere for relaxation. The practical utility room, designed for the convenience of both humans and four-legged guests, is perfect for drying off after scenic walks. The kitchen boasts contemporary amenities, including an island with bar seating, an American-style fridge/freezer, and a wine cooler, ensuring you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. Beyond the open living area, a hallway leads to two spacious double en-suite bedrooms, one of which has a full-size cot for infants under 2 years, a comfortable twin room, and a playful bunk bed/playroom. For moments of indulgence, a family bathroom features a Jacuzzi bath and a refreshing hydro shower.
