This open-plan kitchen/diner with white-washed stone walls and a vaulted, beamed ceiling is decorated with wooden furnishings and has a stylish black and white fitted ‘L’-shaped kitchen. Chandelier lighting and large glass windows keep the space bright while dining at the long wooden table with bench seating. Adjacent is a snug, where you can relax on the sofas with a good book or catch up with your favourite TV show. The main lounge is warm and welcoming, with large glass windows, grey tones throughout and wooden furnishings. A wood burner in the corner keeps the space cosy and patio doors lead onto a decked area. The ground floor contains a small utility area, a wet room, and three bedrooms – a king-size with an en-suite, and two twin bedrooms. Outside, you’ll find a decked area and lawn plus garden furniture.
While staying in the small village of Threlkeld, you’ll be just 4 miles from the lakeside town of Keswick, which can be reached via the scenic railway path hiking trail. Visit the nearby ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle (2.5 miles) and stroll around Derwentwater Lake (5 miles). Explore the Underskiddaw hiking area (14 miles) or take a picnic to Lodore Falls (8 miles). Also nearby is the Thornsgill Beck Nature Reserve (7.5 miles).
