Crisp and contemporary interiors are kept bright by the abundant windows throughout this spacious three-bedroom cottage with an open-plan layout and a cosy snug. Located near Keswick, you’ll be close to mountain peaks, nature reserves, lakes and plenty of amenities during your getaway.

Walk through the hall into the stylish, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with dark flooring and furnishings but light walls and wooden accents throughout. Next to the glass patio doors is a comfortable lounge area boasting plump sofas and a Smart TV. Continue past the wooden dining table with bench seating into the sleek kitchen area with wide windows, green cabinets and granite surface tops. Here, you’ll also find a breakfast bar on the kitchen peninsula. Also on the ground floor is a utility room, a family bathroom, and three bedrooms with en-suites – a double and two twin rooms. Upstairs is the main lounge, which benefits from picture windows framing the views of Blencathra Mountain. This neutral-toned room has a wood burner and doors which lead to the balcony. Outside is a decked area, a lawn and furniture.

Meadow vale view is a lovely modern spacious house with great views and is a perfect location for exploring the northern lake district with lots of local walks close by. We had a very enjoyable stay. Good meal at the Horse and Farrier and a lovely lunch at the village hall cafe, Basecamp cafe was also good. We had a problem with hot water on the fiRead morerst day and the local customer services team at Sally's cottages were very responsive and arranged for this to be fixed within a couple of hours. Outstanding scenery from the cottage, but further instructions should be included about the appliances. They are usually in all holiday rentals. This is especially important in respect of the downstairs TV, which does not get terrestrial channels, however the upstairs TV does. Overall a very good property in ideal location. The kitchen is particulaRead morerly well equipped. Hide

Beautiful, well appointed cottage in a stunning part of the Lakes. Quality fittings and decor and we'll thought out layout. We particularly appreciated the spacious utility room (with extra fridge freezer) ; underfloor heating that kept us toasty warm despite being a cold week; two sitting areas; and the electric car charger. Ideal location for walRead moreking, didn't use our car all week as so many walks 'from the door'. (Thanks for all the walk books!). House overlooks A66, but wasn't an issue. Hide
