The property is set on 4 acres of grounds in a countryside village the Eden Valley – which is within reach of Lake District, North Pennines and Yorkshire Dales.

As you enter the property, you’ll be taken aback by the character and charm of the country-house style interiors – such as the antique furnishings, original features dating back to the 17th century and intricate, carved woodwork on the walls. On the ground floor is a large drawing room with an open fire, a 1913 Bechstein grand piano and 17th-century oak chimneypieces. The dining room boasts a 16-seat mahogany table and an open fire. Continue into the fully equipped kitchen with a grandfather clock and a dining table. There is also a utility room, a second catering kitchen, which is available on request, a library room and a games room with a pool table and darts. Spread across the two floors are nine bedrooms, three with en-suites, plus three family bathrooms. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed garden with a patio, furniture, a BBQ, and storage with outdoor games equipment. Beyond here are 4 acres of grounds with a kitchen garden, waterfalls, a Victorian quarry rock garden and a croquet lawn.

Stroll around Morland village to find a cafe and church (within 0.5 miles). Kids will love the nearby water park (4.5 miles) and history enthusiasts shouldn’t miss the Lowther Castle and Gardens (7 miles). Venture into the Lake District (4 miles) and stroll around Ullswater (15 miles). Head east to reach the North Pennines (9.5 miles) or southeast for the Yorkshire Dales (19 miles).

• There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £70. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.
