This traditional cottage with wooden beamed ceilings, an exposed stone fireplace and a pretty garden with a pond offers a tranquil base in the north of the Lake District for a group of five guests. Unwind in nature as you spend your time away enjoying woodland walks, wild waterfall dips and visits to the nearby lakes.
Step inside through the entrance hall and continue into the open-plan dining area, which flows seamlessly into the lounge. Both spaces are neutrally toned with a wooden beamed ceiling, wooden furnishings and floral curtains. Natural light pours in through the glass patio doors and the space is kept warm by the wood burner, which sits in an exposed brick fireplace. Continue into the bright kitchen with pale cabinets, dark surface tops and a hint of blue in the decor. Also on the ground floor is a convenient utility room and a WC. Upstairs is a family bathroom plus three bedrooms – two doubles, one with an en-suite, and a single room. Outside, you’ll find a well-sized garden with furniture, a patio, a lawn and a small pond.
