At the end of the day, there are five beautifully decorated bedrooms waiting for you - one double on the ground floor and three doubles and one twin on the first floor. The ground-floor bedroom boasts direct access onto the patio.
Grab your hiking boots and follow the route along the river in the pretty Duddon Valley (3 miles). If you're feeling a little more energetic, hop onto your mountain bike or canoe to explore. Alternatively, catch a ferry to Piel Island (18 miles) and explore Piel Castle, a 14th century fortress that was used as a base during the Wars of the Roses.
