Host a sociable meal at the dining table or head outside to dine alfresco as you watch the sheep and lambs in the neighbouring fields. After dinner, make your way to the cosy snug to warm your feet in front of the glowing wood burner, or grab a good book and enjoy a little peace and quiet in the mezzanine. At the end of the day, there are four beautiful bedrooms waiting for you. You’ll find a twin and a double on the ground floor, and two more gorgeous doubles on the first floor.
Head off on a rewarding hike to Whitbarrow Scar (2.5 miles). Adventure-seekers will love taking the opportunity to go rock climbing, while nature lovers will enjoy spotting peregrine falcons and squirrels. Alternatively, step back in time at Levens Hall (3.5 miles), an Elizabethan mansion surrounded by stunning gardens.
