Occupying an idyllic location around 1.2 miles north of Ulverston, this beautiful barn conversion offers cosy and welcoming interiors and stunning valley views. Sleeping up to four people, it’s makes a wonderful base for couples and families looking to explore the coast, beaches, landmarks and attractions of the Lake District National Park. With open-plan living spaces and a garden with panoramic views, it’s the perfect place to rest and recharge after days on the fells.

Lovingly renovated and designed to make the most of the views, this delightful property has been finished to an exceptionally high standard with underfloor heating throughout. With high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, the living space is the heart of this charming abode. The contemporary, country-style kitchen is beautifully equipped for rustling up delicious meals with superb local produce, and a breakfast bar offers a convenient spot to share meals. In warm weather, dine alfresco on the raised patio while gazing over the valley, then watch the stars appear overhead as dusk falls. With a selection of comfortable seating and a warming wood burner, the lounge is the ideal spot to enjoy quality time with your loved ones, watching TV or taking in the view from the large patio windows. After a day of exploring, two elegant and comfortable bedrooms invite a blissful night’s sleep. The king-size room has its own en suite, while the twin has use of the family bathroom with an impressive freestanding bathtub.

Situated at the southern edge of the national park, this delightful property is a delight for walkers, hikers and cyclists with an array of beautiful trails nearby. The historic and lively market town of Ulverston (1.2 miles) has a wonderful collection of cosy pubs, traditional markets and cultural hotspots, and it’s known as the ‘party capital of Furness’, thanks to numerous festivals held throughout the year. Head to Newby Bridge (9 miles) to trace the southern tip of Lake Windermere to Lakeside, starting point for Windermere lake cruises.

The Perfect Getaway! Ringwiddy Cottage is just the perfect all round package. The hosts Rose and Ian are lovely people who make themselves available if you need anything. The cottage is absolutely spotless and very well equipped in every area! The scenery and panoramic views from the cottage are breathtaking! The location of this property is idyllic. Perched up a hillside with amazing views of the countryside and , in the distance, Morecambe Bay. A little awkward to get to but well worth the effort. Rose and Ian are perfect hosts, and while they did not interfere at all in our stay, they were there if needed to solve any problems. The cottage is new andRead more therefore spotlessly clean.
