Wake up to unforgettable views each morning when staying in this Cumbrian cottage, a wonderful destination with picture windows framing the fells and surrounding countryside. A cosy place for two to stay, this property offers one bedroom and ample communal space for any couple to spend some quality time together. The cottage is positioned on the outskirts of Ambleside, a vibrant town with so many amenities and the famed Lake Windermere within easy walking distance (1 mile). The scenery takes centre stage in this home-from-home place, a property with minimalist décor and a clean, contemporary finish. Step into the open-plan living space with lounge, kitchen and diner positioned next to French doors and allowing access to the patio. From here, step down into the shared garden to soak up some sunshine with your book. The accommodation is laid out on one storey with the bedroom and bathroom just down the hallway. The bedroom is an exceptionally comfortable double and the bathroom has a shower over bath for those who prefer either a long soak or a refreshing shower.

Lake Windermere is one of the National Park’s finest attractions, a real tourist destination for walkers, bike riders, sailors and fishermen. There’s a pier just 1 mile away where you can embark on a cruise, a great way to see the scenery and make your way down to Brockhole (2.5 miles), Bowness (5.5 miles) and Lakeside (13 miles). If walking is more your thing, then head to Grizedale Forest (8 miles) to unearth miles of mystical scenery or embark on a trip up Loughrigg Fell, Baystones, The Old Man of Coniston or Helm Crag, all within 10 miles.

This is a lovely small but cosy flat with exceptional views and only a short walk into Ambleside with easy access to walks, bike rides, bars and restaurants. The steep hill may not be suitable for all but the views compensate the effort.

Magnificent window views and a good sitting area shared garden in front . The layout is so good you don't feel it's too small at all; all the appliances in the kitchen are really top end and a pleasure to use, as is the bathroom with its brilliantly designed modern shower. Peacefully elevated on the edge of the town but close enough to pop down theRead moren keep fit back up the hill! Perfectly met our 3 key criteria of being comfortable, good views, and parking but throws in a touch of quality too. Hide

Comfortable cottage which has some nice features particularly the kitchen and bathroom which have high end fittings. Be warned the views are there for a reason, it is up a very steep hill which you may not fancy walking up after an evening in Ambleside

Perfect for a couple after a day out in the hills. The views are great and far enough away from the noise so you get a good night sleep.

Lovely flat, well equipped with a great shower over the bath. The bathroom looked as if it had just been refurbished. Nice welcoming pack with coffee, a few tea bags and lovely ginger biscuits. The kitchen had dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, cloths etc. Various books and games available. The view from the decked area was amazing as flat up a biRead moret of a slope. The car parking a bit tight but has a dedicated space for the flat. No hairdryer and no mirror in bedroom. Mirrors elsewhere. Hide

Very high standards of cleanliness and high specifications in kitchen appliances and bathroom. Beautiful mountain views from the patio which is west facing and can be a sun trap. We would love to return at some point!

The flat had everything we needed and was 'home from home'. The views to Loughrigg Fell were delightful as was the bird life in the garden. The proximity to Ambleside was convenient for restaurants and shopping.
