Cabin-style lodgings make for a unique destination holiday in the beautiful Lake District National Park. Set amongst vibrant greenery and towering trees, this rural cottage offers a real country escape for four guests and a dog, ideal for any group eager to get away from it all. With a bunk bedroom providing the best space for children to sleep and an on-site swimming pool for entertainment, this property is extremely family-friendly. There’s also a jacuzzi and a sauna that adults will simply love. If you can tear yourself away from the property, there’s plenty to see and do locally in this Cumbrian adventure hot spot.

External stairs lead up to the property and onto a decked area with furniture, the whole thing invoking a treehouse feel that guests of all ages will adore. Once inside, the sociable hub of the house is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Whether you’re preparing meals to eat indoors or prepping for dinner alfresco, you’ll find everything you may need in the comprehensive kitchen. Two sofas sit opposite one another with a view of the Smart TV for lazy evenings of lounging, and the double bedroom, the bunk bedroom and the bathroom are all just down the hallway.

Unearth walking and cycling routes from your doorstep, including along the River Brathay and past the picturesque Skelwith Force (1.5 miles). On the banks of Lake Windermere, Ambleside (3 miles) is your nearest town and a place to find all your much-needed amenities. Nearby you can spot the sights at the Ambleside Roman Fort (3 miles), Wray Castle (4.5 miles) or Rydal Cave (2.5 miles). Literary lovers will adore a trip to Grasmere (3 miles) to visit Wordsworth’s Dove Cottage and admire the scenery that inspired so many beautiful poems. It’s also worth dropping into the local bakery to try some famed gingerbread as well!

The cottage was very clean, cosy and had all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. It felt very private nestled in the trees and it was lovely to watch the birds from the kitchen window. It was within a reasonable distance of Ambleside, Grasmere etc. We were disappointed that we did not have access to the advertised pool/table tennis/jacuzzRead morei as the pool was out of commission on the weekend we stayed and the whole activity centre was locked. We had a fantastic stay and the nice little extras was nice as well the tea bags and coffee and treats . And all the info and even a travel bowel for the dog . Loved it thank you. Have already recommended it to friends. Will will not stay anywhere else now in the lakes this ticked all the box's for us

The whole holiday was amazing. Ive never been to the Lake District and the area, lodge and amenities surrounding it was perfect for us. The lodge was beautiful and situated on an amazing secluded area. When we lost power we received amazing help from all parties and was handled very quickly.
