Set along a quiet and private residential drive, this beautifully updated holiday home has elegant living spaces, tasteful furnishings and stylish decor, and makes a fabulous base for walkers, nature lovers, climbers and water sports fans discovering an unforgettable part of Cumbria.

The porch and hallway have space for coats and shoes before you head through to the tastefully furnished lounge with a Smart TV and a big bay window overlooking the garden. Exploring the ground floor there’s also a shower room, and a handsome dining room perfect for marking special occasions, alongside an elegant, beautifully arranged kitchen with a breakfast bar and additional dining area. Upstairs, the first floor features a bathroom and three delightful bedrooms (one en-suite): there are two lovely king-size rooms and a spacious family room with a single bunk over the main double bed. Outside, there are enclosed front and back gardens, each with a lawn, patio and seating area. There’s also ample space for storing bikes and sports equipment, with room on the drive for three cars.

Bowness has a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants, and is home to The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction. From here you can take a steamship trip across Windermere, with other local attractions including the Windermere Jetty Museum, Brockhole on Windermere, Holehird Gardens, Lakeland Farm Visitor Centre and Wray Castle, all within 9 miles. The beautiful Coniston Water and Esthwaite Water are both within 13 miles.

Spacious clean house in a great location. Quiet road but only about 4 minutes walk into Bowness. Front and back garden were fully enclosed for our dog. Easy walks from the house to local viewpoints. Plenty of shops and cafs nearby plus the boats and ferry. Most of which are dog friendly. Would definitely return.

We stayed here a for a month after some extensive travelling, how iwonderful it was to unpack and unwind. Sarah had decorated the house for us for Xmas and made it very festive, which was lovely. We were extremely comfortable staying here in this lovely home. The house is situated on a very quiet street only 100 metres from the beautiful town of BoRead morewness. One of our favourite pubs in town was at the end of the street so we couldnt have asked for a better location! We would stay again Hide

This house was absolutely fabulous. It was in a great location, five minutes into Bowness and to Lake Windermere, but so quiet and peaceful. It was really well equipped and many thoughtful touches, soap in all the bathrooms and cleaning items in the kitchen. It was very clean and we enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed at Lucerne in August 2023 and it was the perfect property for our family holiday to the Lake District. Beautiful property in an absolutely fantastic location. Great facilities, ideal family home from home that was enjoyed by four adults and two dogs!
