Both offer regular daily cruises with launches at Coniston (7.5 miles) and Lakeside (6.5 miles), ideal for those who want to admire the scenery without exerting too much energy. The barn is very comfortable, all rooms are deceptively large & ooze character. The furniture choices give the place a very high end finish. The front balcony offers a wonderful view of Grizdale Forest, the morning sun illuminating the hillside. The decking at the rear provides another spacious area to unwind at the end of the day catching the evenRead moreing sun. The location is perfect for exploring the many walks the area offers, Grizdale forest is a stones throw away & the lakes just a short drive. Hide

This is a lovely cottage in a great location - a short drive away from Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere etc. There is a great pub just down the road and a lovely tea room practically next door. There are plenty of good walks you can do in Grizedale Forest (and the visitor centre cafe does an excellent breakfast). Just be aware that Hawkshead is theRead more nearest place for shops and only has a small Co-op so you probably need to bring your own essentials. Hide
