A Grade II-listed Victorian house situated in the bustling market town of Keswick, this property is oozing with charm and character combined with modern furnishings, and has plenty of space for 12 of your loved ones to enjoy an active holiday together in the Lake District.

Built in 1875, this home offers Victorian lure and charm. Leave your coats and boots in the handy lobby area before admiring the hallway’s spectacular, sweeping staircase. The colourful lounge contains interesting artwork, a Smart TV, a warming wood burner and large windows that flood the room with bright light. The stylish and roomy kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm, including plenty of surface and storage space such as the pantry. Once you have created a culinary delight, enjoy eating together in the sumptuous dining room, before doing your washing in the handy utility room with its laundry facilities. A second lounge/dining space is also situated on the ground floor, with further seating and another Smart TV, perfect for the younger members of the group to take some time out together. Completing the ground floor is a snug room and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, and a WC. Upstairs on the first and second floors are the six bedrooms, one double room and five king-size four-poster bedrooms, which all have en-suite bathrooms. Though there is no garden space at this property, you will find Fitz Park less than 0.5 miles away which has a children’s play area and a cafe.

The stunning town of Keswick has something for everyone, with several museums and an eclectic mix of independent shops and restaurants to whet everyone’s appetites. Challenge yourselves to a challenging hike up Skiddaw, accessed via a 5-mile roundtrip from the town. Take to the water on Derwentwater (500 metres) where you can enjoy paddleboarding, kayaking and boating.

This house was amazing. Beautifully decorated and so well equipped it was an absolute pleasure to stay there. The parking spaces saved a massive headache and the location was excellent. A fantastic property perfect for large groups. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped so we could cook as we would at home which is not always the case with holiday homes. Honestly, one of the best equipped houses we have stayed in (and weve been in quite a few!). It was a wonderful house, perfect for our 3 families. Cannot fault it. Owners were also lovely and communicative.

The accommodation was perfect for our group of 9 plus dog. Loads of room to spread out. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. Great tech spec with good smart tv's and soundbars. Well equipped kitchen and dinning room for meals in but also really close to the town for eating out. One of the best Cottages we have ever stayed in a real home from home. The owners have gone out of their way to provide lots of extra little touches and equipment, we had all we needed for our Christmas holiday. The location is great, a short stroll into the town centre, with lots of lovely shops, restaurants and bars, all we needed for our stay. Stonegarth is a beautiful house. Very comfortable with 6 large bedrooms all with their own bathrooms. It was very well equipped everything we needed was there. As anyone who knows Keswick parking can be a problem, not here, theres parking for 9 cars.
