Located in the pretty village of Threlkeld in the Lake District National Park. This recently refurbished end terrace house is nestled at the foot of Blencathra. There are plenty of options for walkers in the area, including a route following an old railway line through ancient woodland towards Keswick (4.5 miles). Work up an appetite scaling the six fell tops of Blencathra, 2.5 miles away, and return to the village for a light snack or something heartier in one of the village pubs or the friendly cafe. History buffs will love a visit to Castlerigg Stone Circle too (2.5 miles). Enjoy some water sports at Ullswater (11.5 miles) or visit the magnificent Aira Force Waterfall and neighbouring nature trails (9.5 miles).

As you enter the property, you will find yourself in the hallway which features a lovely and practical slate floor, there is also useful under stair storage for coats and boots. Off the hallway, you will find the cosy lounge with a wood burner, attractive wood flooring and comfortable seating. The cottage was lovely. Homely, well equipped and really comfortable. A real luxury. Great walks right on your doorstep. The owners had thought of everything to make the stay really memorable. The little welcome hamper was a nice touch and unexpected. Cant recommend this Cottage highly enough.

Incredibly clean, cosy cottage. Cute little welcome hamper on arrival complete with simple but tasteful Christmas decor. We are very picky about mattress comfort and thumbs up from myself and my daughter who is recovering from spine surgery. Fantastic location at the base of beautiful Blencathra.

We had a fantastic stay at Barbara cottage. It was clean, very comfortable and in a perfect location for us. The kitchen had everything you could need for self catering. The welcome basket was such a lovely touch too. We will definitely be looking to book again next year!

Cosy, comfortable, home from home. All you need is in the cottage. High standard of finish and you can tell how much work and love went in to this beautiful property. A lovely hamper was left for us which was a nice touch. Well situated in an idyllic village within walking distance of the local pub and, the Community run coffee shop. 5 star cottage, the interior finish is superb, the best of any cottage weve stayed in. Cottage is well equipped all round but would benefit from a tumbler drier or clothes line.
