We would highly recommend Barbara Cottage. It is tastefully decorated and very well equipped. It was spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. The hamper of 'goodies' was a lovely touch. Lovely well equipped cottage beautifully renovated. The cleanest cottage ever booked in Lake District. Ample parking for car. On a good bus route (2 per journey) if you want to leave the car at cottage. Nice pubs and tea room nearby. Lovely friendly neighbour. Lots of local walks.

A fabulous cottage in Threlkeld and a perfect base for exploring the Northern Lakes. Having stayed in numerous cottages over the last 25 years, this is definitely one of the best equipped and cleanest we've booked. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch. Highly recommended!

Recently renovated old cottage with some nice features. Comfortable bed. Nice little welcome hamper. Need to supply more kitchen consumables. If to are a telly addict at night only one person in your party will be able to watch the TV in comfort Due to the layout of the lounge. Lots of good point about the property just a few niggles.

1 Barbara Cottages is a delightful property. It is tastefully decorated, well equipped and cosy. It is easy to drive into Keswick or cycle along the cycle path and convenient for lots of different hiking routes. It's small, so perfect for two people or a couple with small children. It has a bath which is a big plus after a big hike!
