Cosy four-storey property in the South of the Lake District with lovely outside space and only a short drive to the beaches on the coast.

Greenodd offers everything you need to give your car a break while you explore the wonderful walks around the village and surrounding countryside, with beautiful views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. With a blend of original features and stylish decor, this is the perfect property for friends, families or couples looking for an outdoor adventure.

Step inside this characterful cottage, and you'll fall in love with the exposed beams, stylish splashes of colour and the contemporary, cosy ambience. The lounge is ideal for relaxing with family or friends and spending a lovely evening on the corner sofa or in the armchair watching a movie on the Smart TV. In the hall is the main bathroom. On the lower ground floor is a fantastic kitchen/diner with everything you need to cook up a storm, and it is an ideal space for enjoying family time or chatting while sitting on the island with two bar stools. There's also a snug area with a sofa where you can read a book, or the kids can chill while you prepare a meal. On the first floor, there's a double bedroom and a small double room. On the top floor, you'll find another double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Outside, the enclosed garden and patio with garden furniture make an ideal spot for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while the children or dogs can run around and play on the lawn.

The Furness Coast (6 miles) boasts miles of sandy beaches, including dog-friendly Askam-in-Furness Beach (11 miles) which is a great day out. Further afield (17.5 miles) are Lake Windermere and Coniston (14.5 miles), with plenty of hiking or water-based activities to enjoy.

The house is lovely and very quirky with lots of nice features and decor. The stairs are narrow and steep but have good handrails and our parents in their 70s had no issues. A nice cottage good value for money , clean and tidy . The three flights of windy could prove difficult for some people , at least the back door went straight into the kitchen on the bottom level , good for our dogs . The neighbour was not particularly friendly . The chip shop round the corner was excellent but only opens form 16.30 until 19.00 . Lymm Cottae is a warm, comfy and nicely decorated cottage let down little by the poor lighting in the lounge. A good place to explore the southern lakes. Fantastic bakery just round the corner from the cottage and good food shopping in Ulverston.

Lymm Cottage was really comfortable and cosy. It felt very warm, homely and characterful. Kitchen utensils were plentiful and the cooker top was easy to use. The stairs felt a little precarious, but understandable in a character terraced cottage. Absolutely lovely property to stay in. Clean and fresh, decorated beautifully. Only a short drive to windermere and close to the steam train which was a lovely day out. It was a really unique and quirky cottage, the kitchen I especially, where enjoyed cooking there. The beds were especially comfortable and having two bathrooms was extra convenient. Echo the comments of previous guests. Lovely cottage but was a real shame that the garden had been left to overgrown as would have been nice to enjoy it with the good weather in the evenings.

Nice cosy cottage. The kitchen was very well appointed, loads of utensils and equipment. Nothing happening in Greenodd (the chippy is really nice though) itself but plenty of bars, restaurants and shops a few minutes away in Ulverstsone. Bathrooms and bedrooms nice and clean. Living room a little small but plenty of room in the kitchen downstairs. Read moreMy only real misgiving is the lack of anywhere to hang your clothes. Beautiful house, four storeys may be a struggle for any with mobility issues. Downstairs kitchen is well equipped, we cooked most nights. Excellently located for easy access to Ulverston and Windermere. Excellent value for money.

Well appointed property with fantastic very modern equipment in the kitchen. Being an old cottage the stairs are very steep and could be difficult for an older person. Great location for the lakes or Furness coast. There is a superb bakery with a cafe located on a small industrial estate beside the fish and chip shop.
