Walk up the external stairs to the main door of your apartment and step inside. Take a moment to make yourself at home in the lounge before heading through to the stylish kitchen to cook yourself a delicious meal. Get the whole gang together to eat at the large dining table. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of something cool and crisp and enjoy some quality time on the balcony taking in the lovely views of the waterfalls. Alternatively, head to the lounge to chill out on the sofa and catch up on your favourite TV shows. When the day is done, you’ll find three gorgeous bedrooms on the first floor.
Get your loved ones together to explore Lake Windermere. Ambleside’s Waterhead Pier (1.5 miles) dates back to 1845 and offers ferry rides to Bowness, Newby Bridge, Wray Castle and Brockhole Visitor Centre. During the summer, you can even take a 1-mile horse-drawn carriage ride from the centre of Ambleside to Waterhead Pier. Back on dry land, take a stroll to Stock Ghyll Force (1 mile), a spectacular 70-foot-tall waterfall. If you’re lucky enough to be there in spring, the area from the viewing point is carpeted in daffodils. Or head off to the National Trust’s Stagshaw Gardens (2 miles) to stop and smell the rhododendrons and azaleas.
