Traditional Lakeland end-terrace set over three floors with ample space and offering home comforts. Less than 350 metres from the town centre with a great selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants.

Set on a quiet street in the market town of Keswick, this lovely three-storey home has all the wild beauty of the Lake District on its doorstep – as well as all the convenience of life in a thriving Lakeland town. Sleeping seven people over four bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, it’s a superb accommodation option for large families or groups of friends who want to hike and bike by day, and sample the town’s restaurants each night. Spend glorious days ghyll-scrambling and kayaking, and unforgettable evenings making new friends in one of the town’s cosy pubs.

Step inside and head through to the lounge to make yourself at home and check out the view through the bay window. Later, make your way to the open-plan kitchen/diner to rustle up some dinner for your loved ones. Get everyone together to eat at the table in the dining area, before heading out to the quaint enclosed yard to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the stars come out. Alternatively, make your way to the lounge to put your feet up in front of the electric fire, or head to the cosy snug on the first floor to challenge your loved ones to a board game tournament. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms on the first floor and two more on the second floor.

Skiddaw is one of the top hiking destinations in the Lake District. Start your 6-mile circular route at Underskiddaw (11 miles) and you’ll enjoy an amazing journey that takes you to the summit of England’s 6th highest peak. Alternatively, take a gentle stroll down to Derwentwater (0.5 miles), where you can hop on a boat cruise. Or treat yourself to a show at the Theatre by the Lake (1 mile), before checking out Keswick’s lively culinary scene.

A great location on the edge of town, and a nicely appointed, spacious property. It's got a good sized lounge, with plenty of seating, so is very comfortable. Six of us and a dog have stayed there twice now. As with anywhere in the Lakes, parking places are a bit competitive, but we've had no problems finding space on the street. Would recommend.

Really great location, and very well equipped. Plenty of space and the kids couldnt believe there were 3 TVs! Plenty of crockery and cutlery, and all youd need in a kitchen - often holiday cottages have only the bare minimum. Some great walks and boat trips and lake swims. Thank you!

Enjoyed the holiday. The house worked well for a 3 generation family group of 6 people. It was especially good to have a properly equiped kitchen! Managed to park outside the house other than Friday evening/Saturday daytime - even then we were only one road over. Sally cottages (local Keswick agents) were good when we had a plumbing problem (washerRead more in toilet cistern went); able to get someone out to fix things on a weekend evening. Hide

Very nice, well equipped cottage. Easy walking distance to Keswick town centre but in a quiet location. Easily accommodated seven adults, parking can be a bit of a challenge but would definitely book to stay here again.

The property was fine but smelt very musty, is dated and the neighbours were particularly unfriendly which is a shame when trying to empty a car upon arrival. On a positive note the location is good, the garden is enclosed if you are taking dogs and it is a large property.
