Offering beautiful views, this refreshing and spacious stone-built house is perfect for families and friends exploring the Eden Valley, the Lake District, the North Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales. Featuring a welcoming wood burner, a covered veranda and an impressive balcony, the property provides a great base for eager walkers, cyclists, golfers, horse riders, climbers and nature lovers.

The house features a spacious, light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which makes a wonderful living space to unwind in. The lounge has a Smart TV, plenty of seating and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the garden. The stylish dining area is perfect for everyone to get together to share a family meal, which you can prepare in the bespoke kitchen. Exploring further, there’s a lovely, cosy second lounge with a wood burner and Smart TV. Going up the low-lit staircase, the first floor offers three cosy, refreshing and tastefully decorated bedrooms: two doubles and an en-suite king-size room with a Smart TV. There’s also a stylish bathroom and a handy dressing room. Accessed from the first-floor landing, the extensive balcony looks out over the open countryside and makes a tranquil spot to sit back and unwind. Outside, the pretty private garden has a charming veranda, a lovely patio, a lawn and plenty of outdoor furniture so you can enjoy a morning coffee as you get ready for the day.

The bustling market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland (2 miles) has some friendly places to eat and drink. Among other local attractions are the Rheged Centre, Brougham Castle and the remains of Penrith Castle all in the popular town of Penrith (14 miles), Dalemain Mansion (16 miles), Rutter Force (4.5 miles) and High Cup Nick (7 miles).

A lovely large and well appointed house - in brilliant location in a sleepy village. Right between the Pennines and the Lakes. The beds were perfectly comfy and the linen crips and fresh.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday in this beautiful, well equipped property. There are some lovely scenic walks and the surroundings are very peaceful. We have stayed in a lot of holiday cottages over the years and Pinfold House is definitely one of the best we have ever stayed in. More of a home from home than a holiday cottage A beautiful house in a beautiful location

Great place if you are looking for some peace and quiet away from it all. Clean, Comfortable beds. Great showers. Well equipped kitchen. Tea, instant coffee, salt, pepper and olive oil provided. French press coffee pot if you take ground coffee.

We loved Pinfold House; its location, setting, decor and design is second to none. We would love to return another time. Stunning, beautiful location, well equipped worked well for 6 adults. WiFi is sketchy, bit of an issue for the younger members. Owners were really great at sorting bedding for my son's feather allergy.

Stunning house in a peaceful village location, perfect for exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The house itself is amazing, lots of space and well laid out with two lovely gardens. For dog owners - the front garden isn't enclosed but we managed by standing in the gaps so pooch could have a good run around! Incredible holiday. The house was amazing in every way and its hard to put into words how beautiful it was. There was nothing that we would change apart from more seating as we couldnt all eat together. Plus blackout Blinds are a must for the bedroom at the top of the stairs. Apart from that the house is more than five star. We would come back and Read morestay here in a heartbeat as its just a beautiful property in a perfect location. Lovely part of the country, close to Appleby nice few shops and river walks, surrounding area is lovely enjoyed looking at the cows and the different birds and also not far from Keswick Ullswater and Windermere a must to visit Nice little welcome pack and loved the balcony but maybe more furniture is needed can't wait to return

There were just two of us staying, Four would be manageable but six people perhaps a little over crowded. Really loved our stay here. Great location for exploring The Lakes and also The Dales. The house was really beautiful and had everything we needed. We looked forward to coming back there after a day of walking. Highly recommend abs would love to stay there again ourselves.

Beautiful house in a quiet village with good arrangements for dog friendly holiday. We loved the upper deck and the big open plan area. Well appointed kitchen with sharp knives at last and a fridge space large enough for everything I brought. Loved the wine fridge !
