This fully refurbished bungalow offers a bright, cosy base in a quiet neighbourhood with views across to Skiddaw. Less than a mile walk from Derwentwater and Keswick town centre, with private parking and garden.
You’ll love the location of this fully refurbished holiday cottage tucked away from the centre of town but close enough to leave the car at home and head out on foot. It’s perfect for two couples and is step-free inside ¬(there are steps to the front door) with beautiful views across to Skiddaw.
The bungalow is immaculate throughout with timeless interiors, and contemporary fixtures and fittings. There’s a porch for storing muddy boots and coats, which leads to the hallway. The lounge has a cosy wood burner and sofas that invite you to curl up and watch the Smart TV and the kitchen is ultra-contemporary. There are two comfortable bedrooms – a double and a king – with plenty of clothes storage, and a luxurious rainfall shower in the shower room. Outside is a smart front garden with parking and a large private rear garden with somewhere to sit in the sunshine with a coffee or a glass of wine.
Keswick is a mile from Derwentwater where there’s a lovely circular 10-mile walk around the lake. You can also explore on a cruise which stops at jetties around the lake or hire a motorboat, rowing boat, kayak, or paddleboard. If you fancy a spot of culture, the Theatre by the Lake puts on regular productions, and there are fascinating exhibitions at Keswick Museum and the Pencil Museum. Keen walkers are spoilt for choice locally. There’s a quick walk (0.5 miles) to Friar’s Crag, which has stunning views. If you feel more adventurous, you can walk up Cat Bells or conquer Skiddaw ¬– a 931 metre summit 5 miles north of Keswick that dominates the local skyline.
