On arrival, you will notice that this unique home from home has two spacious bedrooms on the first floor. This is to make space for a glorious lounge on the second floor, which offers unrivalled views across the fells. Climb the stairs from the front door to find a double bedroom, pretty twin and shower room before heading up the staircase to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Decorated in a retro style, this lovely area feels extra special thanks to the private balcony. Gather some glasses and a bottle of celebratory fizz before sliding the balcony doors open and letting the wild outdoor scenery take your breath away. Everything the cottage description gave was true. Could sit on that settee and look at the view of the lake for hours. Very comfortable, clean and the decoration spot on. Put car in massive garage for the week not searching for parking. Well pleased and would book again.

Disappointing that the property wasnt decorated for Christmas as stated in the description but everything was good. It is in a perfect location and it has all you need to make make it a home from home

A great location and very clean and pleasant property. Parking off the street, right outside the door and a big empty garage for storing walking gear or bikes in. The property is well decorated and maintained with plenty of hot water and control over the heating. It has WiFi, Tv, dvds and games. We enjoyed our stay.

The property was clean, warm, comfortable and well equiped with a wonderful view towards the lake. It is ideally situated, being a five minute walk to the centre of Bowness.

A beautiful property with stunning views. Extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The property is a short walk from the shops in Bowness and Lake Windermere. There is plenty to do in the area and Bowness is a great base if you want to venture further afield.

Had a great time here location to bars and restaurants was great stayed for a week didnt eat out every night as all you need to cook a meal was provided added bonus was the garage lots of room to leave car 2bikes and 2 kayaks when ever I return to this lake Windemere I will have this as my first choice stay

Stunning property with amazing views. Very well equipped (even a slow cooker!) and beautifully furnished. The owners have thought of everything with plenty of information and maps about the area. Location is perfect with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants. Good access to the ferry boats, water activities and the bus service.

Property in excellent location for shops, restaurants, lake access etc. Very quiet location with private parking. Beautiful view from living room with doors which can be opened fully if weather is suitable.

A nice, comfortable, well presented property very close to Bowness town center - about a 5 minute walk. This is the second time we have stayed and would be very happy to book again. It is well equipped with everything you could need for a week or two, good size rooms and firm but comfortable beds. Being able to park the car in a garage is a big pluRead mores as parking in Bowness is sometimes at a premium. Would recommend you close the blinds if its going to be a sunny day as the lounge get very warm. Hide

Very comfortable and clean. 5 minute walk into bowness giving excellent access to shops, pubs, restaurants and the ferry departure point. 9 out of 10 but only because of the lack of washing machine. The view from the veranda was stunning.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation. Everything about it is first class. The location, cleanliness, facilities, and views of the mountains and lake are spectacular. We didn't want to come home!

We come back here every year...its always super clean. Has been partially modernised and there's a huge kitchen, diner, lounge area. Perfect for exploring too...quick up Rayrigg Rd along the lake for kayaking and up to Ambleside, and close enough to walk easily into Bowness for a wander. It's perfect. This was a lovely place to stay with fabulous views over the lake. It was comfortable and relaxing. The location was great, near Lake Windermere but not too busy.

Accommodation was clean and well presented, the garage was a great facility and easily accommodated our BMW X5. The lounge area had a fantastic view over the lake and mountains. Plenty of local pubs and restaurants close at hand.

Excellent location and brilliant having a parking space as finding somewhere to park a car is a real problem, expensive too. Cottage was warm and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. There was even a cupboard full of games and puzzles for wet days.

Fantastic location with views of lake Windermere. Just a short walk down to Bowness. House is very well equipped apart from a dishwasher. Enjoyed sitting on balcony with glass of wine in the evening , a very sunny spot to relax .

The house had very good facilities, everything that you could need for a self catering holiday. Very clean and tidy, comfortable sofas, great shower and a sink in the main bedroom which was a bonus. Very large garage, secure parking for two cars in Bowness is very unusual and saves worrying about where to park. Lovely views from the balcony with chRead moreairs and table provided.
