Gosforth has some great shops and pubs and is close to the beautiful lake of Wastwater (5 miles). Other Lake District attractions include Muncaster Castle, Scafell Pike, Great Worm Crag, Hardknott Roman Fort and Stanley Ghyll Waterfall (all within 11 miles). Heading to the coast you can visit the lovely seaside villages of Ravenglass (5.5 miles) and Braystones (6 miles).
