This recently renovated luxurious Lakeland cottage is something to behold with comfort and luxury in every corner, perfect for a family retreat.

Enjoying an idyllic location surrounded by magnificent views of the Borrowdale Valley, this beautifully updated retreat makes a stunning getaway for six guests. Offering stylish, light and elegant holiday accommodation for couples, friends and families, this bright, attractive cottage has been tastefully furnished throughout and is ideally positioned for exploring the Lake District. Within easy reach of five of the major lakes, this fabulous residence provides a wonderful hideaway for eager walkers and nature lovers discovering the region’s dramatic mountains and lush woodlands.

The hallway contrasts new and old features with exposed stonework complemented by oak and glass stairs. Exploring further, the fresh and welcoming lounge has a Smart TV and plenty of seating, providing a charming space for everyone to relax at the end of a great day. The spacious and airy kitchen/diner is the hub of the house: with stunning views, a central island and plenty of worktop space, the kitchen is perfect for cooking all your favourite meals which you can share around the oak dining table. The first floor features three fresh en-suite bedrooms: a king-size and two doubles, along with an open landing with a desk and beautiful exposed stonework. Sliding doors lead from the dining area into the large garden which offers glorious mountain views. The patio provides a fantastic spot to spend an afternoon enjoying a BBQ or a glass of wine in the evening.

The Borrowdale Valley is a great base for walkers and climbers. Nearby are the mountains of Scafell Pike (2 miles) and Skiddaw (11 miles), and the lakes of Derwentwater (3.5 miles), Buttermere (5.5 miles), Crummock Water (7.5 miles), Bassenthwaite Lake (10.5 miles) and Thirlmere (12.5 miles). Keswick (7 miles) has plenty of great pubs, shops and attractions including the Puzzling Place, Derwent Pencil Museum and Keswick Adventure Centre.

We had a lovely stay in their beautiful cottage and it had everything we could want or need. Its expensive, but if theres a few of you its not for what youre getting and I would certainly stay there again - very lovely and convenient spot. Their welcome pack was delicious and very kind. Absolutely beautiful cottage, with magnificent views literally at the end of the garden. The location means that local walks are easily accessible and Keswick is just a short car journey away. Decorated to an exceptional standard throughout, every little detail has been thought about. It was lovely coming back to the cottage after a long day out waRead morelking or sightseeing. We returned to this beautiful cottage because we loved it last time. Some minor things that were broken last time still broken 2 years later but we still loved our stay here and would definitely come back again hoping that the things mentioned have been fixed. The location is beautiful. The house is spacious and comfortable. We really hope the new Read moreowners will still rent it out as a holiday let. Highly recommend it Hide

A truly excellent cottage in a great location in Borrowdale. The cottage is roomy and well equipped with loads of personal touches from the owners from an excellent welcome pack through to cartoons in the loo. Even in the worst weather it was comfortable and welcoming.

You will not be disappointed in this beautifully presented and comfortable property in lovely surroundings. We had a great stay here and even if the weather isnt so good, its a lovely place to just sit and watch the changing landscape and the Herdwick sheep of course. The cottage is beautifully and very tastefully renovated. The location is stunning and very peaceful. There are many walks out of the door which are fabulous. We absolutely loved our stay.

We had a fabulous week. There were lovely walks from the door and the views from the house are amazing. The house is nicely furnished and very comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches and we really appreciated the well equipped kitchen as we all love cooking and eating! Would definitely return!

We have stayed in the Lake District for many years and this cottage was exceptional in every way. The location, views, comfort, quality of fixtures and fittings, equipment, space and attention to detail were all outstanding. A fabulous house with a fabulous view, very special. Perfect remote location for a family gathering. We had 5 adults very comfortably, with lots of space and a dream kitchen/diner. After years staying in The Lakes this is now our favourite house, every detail has been thought through.
