Tucked away but still within easy access of the South Lakes and Cumbrian Coast, there’s plenty of choice for days out. Walk along the promenade at the quiet seaside town of Grange-over-Sands or head to popular Morecambe, where you can sign up for a guided walk across the famous sands (but please do not venture out on your own) before indulging in an ice cream - a must for a day by the sea!
Surrounded by beautiful countryside and offering spacious accommodation for up to ten people, this is a fantastic home from home. Head inside and it is sure to delight.
The accommodation is laid out over three floors. The porch on the ground floor is an ideal place for storing coats and boots before continuing into the spacious hallway. At the back of the house is the fantastic kitchen/diner. Light, bright and airy, the kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, handy microwave, two larder-style fridges side by side and built-in dishwasher. The large dining table is positioned in the bay window - talk about dining with a view!
A useful utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer, should you wish to make use of these during your stay. There’s also a handy built-in freezer and an extra WC in here too.
Across the hallway is the wonderful living room, which runs the full length of the house. There is plenty of inviting seating for ten people, arranged in two separate areas. The first is arranged in front of the Smart TV and wood burner, a perfect spot for cosy evenings in. To the other end of the room are the remaining sofas and armchairs, a lovely bright space, ideal for relaxing with a good book or to pore over maps to plan your next adventures.
Four of the five bedrooms can be found downstairs. Though technically on the lower ground floor, these rooms are still light, bright and airy, with lovely views over the garden.
First up is a lovely double bedroom, with beautiful wooden floorboards and French doors which open onto a peaceful, private courtyard. The en-suite bathroom (with WC, wash basin and bath with shower over) and dressing room, add a real sense of luxury to this bedroom suite. The second double bedroom is at the opposite end of the lower ground floor; another pretty, bright room with its own en-suite shower room (with WC, wash basin and modern shower cubicle), this double room is just as delightful as the first.
The remaining two bedrooms on the lower-ground floor are both twin rooms which can be made up as king-size on request at the point of booking; built-in wardrobes provide plenty of storage space and there are lovely views over the surrounding woodland beyond the garden. There is a fantastic family bathroom on this floor too; with a WC, washbasin and bath with shower over, all tastes are catered for here, whether you prefer a relaxing soak in the tub or a refreshing shower.
Upstairs on the first floor you'll find the fifth and final bedroom. With its own dressing area and an en-suite bathroom (with WC, wash basin and bath with shower over), this king-size bedroom is a real retreat. Double doors with a pretty Juliet balcony have a lovely outlook over the garden and countryside beyond, so why not bring your morning cuppa back to bed and indulge in a long lie in - you are on holiday after all.
Also on the first floor is a fantastic games room. With a pool table, table football and TV it's sure to be a hit with children of all ages!
Outside is a delightful garden. The large lawn area to the rear of the cottage is equally suited to running off any extra steam or for finding a peaceful corner to relax with a good book. Outdoor furniture is provided too, perfect for a spot of al fresco dining. The garden has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and is frequently visited by a wide variety of birds and other wildlife.
There is also ample parking for up to five cars at the cottage.
