There's something for everyone in bustling Bowness. There is a great selection of shops, cafes and a multiscreen cinema. Visit the Windermere Jetty Museum to learn all about the history of boats and steam in the area. Head up Brant Fell or enjoy a lakeside stroll along the shores of Windermere. Why not catch the ferry across the water to Hawkshead, another charming Lakeland village, where you can visit the former home of Beatrix Potter at Hilltop, before stocking up on the village's delicious relish?
Spend a day exploring the magnificent Langdale Valley. With its rugged mountains and picturesque tarns, it's a must for any avid fell walker. Head up Lingmoor Fell for stunning, panoramic views of The Lakes or enjoy a peaceful picnic beside beautiful Blea Tarn. Stop off at one of the traditional pubs on your way back for a hearty meal and refreshing drink. Head north to Keswick, the adventure capital of The Lakes. Sign up for an activity with one of the local adventure companies; try canoeing, ghyll scrambling and raft building, or the brave can tackle the Via Ferrata at Honister Slate Mine.

Onwards and upwards to the second floor and the fantastic living accommodation. The modern dining kitchen is well equipped with everything you'd need for a self-catering holiday. There's an electric oven and hob, handy microwave, fridge-freezer and a dishwasher. The views over the Fairfield fells are outstanding. The round dining table is perfect for sociable mealtimes and there are wonderful views to the fells too. The spacious living room up here is light, bright and airy thanks to its wall of windows. Relax on one of the two sofas, there's a TV with Freeview for entertainment or simply sit back and take in those stunning views. Sliding doors lead out to the south-facing balcony, a real treat. With outdoor seating, it's a wonderful place to sit and admire the views over the rooftops to the fells and Lake Windermere. Early risers will love sitting out here with their morning cuppa listening to the birds, but it's equally suited as a delightful place to enjoy an evening aperitif.
As well as the balcony off the living area, this property also has a delightful enclosed rear patio garden. With a table and chairs, it's a lovely spot for dining alfresco or enjoying a glass of wine.
