This characterful holiday home is a stunning cottage offering luxury accommodation for six people and one lucky dog. From the ground floor entrance hall head up the stairs to the beautiful living accommodation. On the first floor is the fantastic living room, with a cosy wood burner perfect for relaxing evenings, and the well equipped dining kitchen. Also on this floor is a lovely twin bedroom (this room can be made up as a super king on request) and a marvellous shower room with monsoon shower. Up on the second floor are the further two bedrooms, both king-size rooms with their own luxurious en-suite bathrooms and walk-in dressing rooms. Complimentary toiletries are provided in each bathroom, a real treat. There is private parking for two cars at the cottage, a real bonus so close to the centre of Grasmere. For guest use only, there is an Easee One, Type 2 untethered 7KW electric vehicle charger. There is no charge for using the EV charger, but you will need to provide your own charging lead compatible with a type 2 charging socket.
The centre of Grasmere is a short walk from the house. This pretty village is rightly popular with visitors and locals alike. There are a great selection of independent shops for those who'd like to indulge in some retail therapy and some lovely independent cafes for that all important coffee and homemade cake pitstop. Fancy an evening off from cooking? Treat yourselves to a hearty meal in a convivial atmosphere at popular Tweedies Bar or head to the quirky Jumble Room for some delicious home cooked dishes. There are plenty of wonderful walks nearby too. Head up local fell Loughrigg for stunning panoramic views or take the walk from the village up to Easedale Tarn, a beautiful spot for a picnic lunch. Both dogs and humans will love exploring the woodland paths at White Moss.
Take a scenic drive south from Grasmere to Ambleside. Here you can treat yourselves to dinner and a movie at Zeffirellis with its multiscreen cinema and Italian restaurant - it's a lovely evening out. Enjoy a cruise round Lake Windermere or hop on the ferry to Hawkshead across the water, another charming village that was once home to Beatrix Potter. Why not spend a day exploring the magnificent Langdale Valley? With its rugged mountains and peaceful tarns, it's a must for any avid fell walker. Head up Lingmoor Fell for stunning, panoramic views of the lakes. Stop off at one of the traditional pubs on your way back for a hearty meal and refreshing drink.
Leave wet coats and boots in the ground floor entrance hall before continuing up the stairs to the first floor and the main living accommodation.
The modern country style dining kitchen is full of character and has all the modern conveniences you could hope for. With a range cooker that has two electric ovens, grill, gas and ceramic hobs, a handy microwave, fridge/freezer, useful washer/dryer and dishwasher, this kitchen is sure to be a hit with the cooks in the group. Gather round the wooden dining table, perfect for sociable mealtimes. The lovely living room with its cosy wood burner is perfect for relaxing evenings in. For entertainment there's a large smart HD TV with Sky Q package.
Also on the first floor is the first of the three bedrooms. A delightful twin room that can be made up as a super king on request. All of the furniture in this room is bespoke and handcrafted from solid wood, the themes of quality of luxury shine throughout this wonderful cottage. Opposite the bed is a wall-mounted flatscreen TV, no need to fight over the remote here! The family shower room is also on the first floor and has a WC, wash basin and shower cubicle with modern rainfall shower.
Up another flight of stairs to the second floor and the remaining two bedrooms. The second floor bedrooms are both king-size, each with a feature solid oak bed and wall mounted flatscreen TV. Bring your morning cuppa back to bed and indulge in a long lie in - you are on holiday after all! Not only do these bedrooms have fantastic walk-in dressing rooms, each also has their own fabulous en-suite bathroom. As well as the expected WC and wash basin, there's a separate walk-in shower with rainfall shower and a stunning free-standing roll-top bath in each en-suite, perfect for a luxurious soak to ease tired muscles.
Dogs over 12 months old are also in for a treat; with a generous welcome pack all to themselves and a wonderful enclosed garden to potter in.
The delightful enclosed patio garden has outdoor seating, perfect for an al fresco aperitif whilst comparing notes on the day's events.
