In a prime position in the popular Lakeland village of Portinscale and surrounded by breathtaking views, this spacious bungalow has been refurbished throughout. With the accommodation all laid out on one level (please note, there a couple of steps between the living room and sun room, and a couple of steps up into the house), you'll find it easy to feel right at home here.
Through the front door you'll find a cloakroom with hooks for hanging up coats and storing outdoor gear. Off the central hallway, you'll find the spacious dining kitchen. Well equipped with everything you'd need for a self catering holiday there's an electric oven and gas hob, useful microwave and all the crockery and cookware for whipping up a feast. The kitchen also has a small wall mounted TV to keep the cooks entertained. Gather round the dining table, the perfect place for comparing notes on the day's adventures whilst enjoying a hearty home cooked meal. A useful utility area houses the washing machine. There is a small fridge in the kitchen and a fridge/freezer in the garage where the tumble dryer is also located.
Back across the hallway to the living room, a bright but cosy room with fantastic views from its large windows over the garden to the fells beyond. With a three-seater sofa, recliner sofa and a recliner armchair, you can relax in style here; sit back and feel the stresses of everyday life drift away. Curl up with a good book in front of the electric fire or catch up on some TV. Down a step from the living room is the lovely sun room. A great addition to the living space, the sun room is a wonderfully calming room, which houses a sofa bed for a further two guests. Ornithologists will love sitting in here and watching the comings and goings of the many birds who also like to pay the bungalow a visit (or its garden at least!). The large glazed sliding door opens onto a paved area extending the sun room into the garden.
At the back of the bungalow are the two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have fantastic views over the garden to the fells beyond, as well as their own TVs - there'll be no need to fight over the remote here! With a wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage, the twin room is sure to be a hit for children and adults alike. The lovely double bedroom has plenty of handy built in storage and a quirky dressing table completes the room. As well as a window overlooking the garden, there is also a window from the double bedroom to the sun room making it another light and airy space but a convenient blind can be closed for privacy.
The family shower room completes the accommodation on offer. With WC, wash basin and great modern walk-in shower, it's perfect for reinvigorating tired muscles after a day out exploring.
And there is so much exploring to be done, even just in the large garden! The areas of lawn are ideal for children and dogs to play (please note, the garden is not full enclosed and there is a steep slope between the different levels so children and dogs should be supervised at all times), whilst the patio is perfect for that first morning cuppa, lunch al fresco or a refreshing G&T come the evening. With stunning views towards the surrounding fells and even a view of Derwentwater when the leaves are off the trees, one could easily spend the week simply basking in beautiful surroundings.
