Within strolling distance of the town centre, you really couldn't be better placed for taking advantage of everything that the vibrant market town of Keswick has to offer. Children of all ages are sure to love the indoor climbing wall and escape room at King Kong Adventure and The Puzzling Place is a must on a wet day. If you fancy an evening out, there's plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from, as well as a cinema and theatre for entertainment. Adrenaline junkies will delight at all the outdoor activities on offer - hire a rowing boat or kayak to explore Derwentwater, visit Go Ape at Whinlatter Forest, tackle the Via Ferrata at Honister Slate Mine or sign up for an afternoon of ghyll scrambling with an adventure company - great fun for everyone!
For a day out, take a scenic drive through The Lakes to Grasmere, stock up on their famous Gingerbread and visit the grave of William Wordsworth, before heading on to charming Bowness-on-Windermere. There's a great choice of shops for those who like to indulge in a little retail therapy and The World of Beatrix Potter is a must for families. Fans of the famous author will delight in a trip to beautiful Hawkshead - catch the ferry across from Windermere and take a look around Hilltop, Potter's former home. Why not head west from Keswick to the stunning Solway Coast? With fantastic views across the firth to Scotland, a stop at Allonby for an ice cream and stroll on the beach (be sure to check out the tide times before you go) is a treat for the whole family.

As soon as you step into the property, you'll feel right at the home. The grand hallway leads into the spacious open-plan living-dining room. A great sociable space, it's perfect for the whole party to get together: catch up over a hearty meal round the wooden dining table before moving seamlessly over to the comfy sofas. Relax with a good book in front of the gas fire or simply watch the world go by with a steaming mug of tea from the feature bay window. The kitchen can be found at the back of the house and it's well equipped with everything you'd need for a self catering holiday. There's an electric oven and induction hob, built-in eye level microwave, dishwasher and American style fridge/freezer. Up two steps and you'll come to a little breakfast area with a small table and two chairs - ideal for the early risers to breakfast in style. Beyond the breakfast area is a handy utility room. As well as a useful washing machine and tumble dryer, in here you'll also find an extra WC making four in total in this spacious cottage.
Head up the stairs and on the first floor you'll find the first of the sleeping accommodation. Wonderfully light, bright and spacious, the master bedroom is a real treat! With a king size wooden bed and its own TV, it's a haven for relaxation. Located at the front of the house you get fantastic views of the fells over the surrounding rooftops, you'll be inspired to get out and explore - after a bit of randr of course! The first floor also benefits from a lovely twin bedroom; with accents of grey it's a calming space ideal for children and adults alike. The family bathroom can also be found on this floor. As well as the requisite WC and sink, there's a shower over the bath so all tastes are catered for. Next to the family bathroom is a further separate WC.
Onwards and upwards to the second floor and the remaining bedrooms. Up here there's a cosy double bedroom and a spacious bedroom, containing a king-size bed and additional single bedroom making this perfect for families. On this floor is a useful shower room (also with WC and sink), perfect for invigorating tired muscles after a day on the fells.
At the rear of the cottage is an enclosed yard. Small but perfectly formed, it's the ideal spot for al fresco drinks and nibbles after a day exploring everything that's on offer right on your doorstep.
