Does the thought of a luxurious and peaceful haven with staggering views sound appealing to you by any chance? If so, then take a look at the stunning cottage, an indulgent, award winning property sleeping up to eight people in four well-appointed bedrooms and boasting plenty of gorgeous socialising space for your party to enjoy. Situated on the edge of the charming village of Ennerdale Bridge, it's a wonderfully designed home benefiting from unparalleled fell views across the Ennerdale Valley.

Lake district without the crowds,Ennerdale Bridge is a delightful village with a strong community feel. Just a short walk from the cottage are two well loved local pubs serving home-cooked food and real ales and a lovely newly built cafe called The Gather that offers light meals and acts as a village shop and visitor hub. The Gather also run activities for children in school holidays, together with events for adults ranging from yoga, art exhibitions and photography to bat walks, film shows, live bands, reading and craft groups. Just a short stroll from the cottage is a play park providing a football pitch, tennis courts, basketball, climbing frame and swings.

There is a gravel path that leads to directly to the lake. The walk around Ennerdale Water is recognised as the number 1 greatest autumn walk in the UK (The Times, 2020) and the surrounding valley is a rare Lakeland gem offering absolute seclusion should you choose to seek it out. The head of the valley is a forested habitat for deer, badgers and red squirrels whilst the clear waters of the lake are a home to rare Arctic Char and even otters! Walks for all abilities are exceptionally well catered for with both gentle lakeside potters (the lakeside fire road is a good option for prams, balance bikes and those a little unsteady on their feet) and Lakeland giants to choose from. Alternatively, why not explore the ancient history of the valley by seeking out its archaeological secrets? The cycling in the area is second to none with plenty of forest trails, bridleways and challenging fell roads to keep you going. You could even explore the fells on horseback with nearby stables Bradley's offering picturesque treks on their gentle fell ponies!

If you'd like to explore the wider area, Ennerdale is well situated to reach Cockermouth, Loweswater, Buttermere and Wordsworth's birthplace; Whitehaven, located along the Solway Coast is a Georgian coastal harbour town with a rich maritime history; and the sandy beaches at St. Bees. All these areas offer superb options for dog walks, toddler days and cycling.

Escape to this stunning new house in a glorious position in the Ennerdale Valley. Sleeping up to eight people in four gorgeous bedrooms and welcoming up to two dogs, it's a marvelous space to gather the family under one roof for a luxurious western Lake District break. It sits just on the edge of the village of Ennerdale Bridge but is detached enough to feel remote and it also benefits from unparalleled views up the valley. The house is elegantly decorated throughout, making the most of the light and space as well as having countless personal touches to create a welcoming atmosphere that you'll want to visit time and time Again.

Guests enter the house from the front. There is a handy utility space with plenty of room for all the muddy boots you might accumulate on your Ennerdale adventures. Through from here the fabulous dining room opens up. There are stunning curved floor to ceiling panoramic windows letting in every drop of light for you to enjoy while eating around the large dining table with its comfy upholstered chairs. The door to the front is here and there's more space for shoes and coats. The large welcoming kitchen is next door. It's a beautiful sociable space with light units, rose granite work surfaces and a breakfast table looking through double doors to the lawns and patio. The kitchen is handsomely equipped with a large Rangemaster cooker with gas hobs, dishwasher, washer dryer, microwave, under counter fridge and freezer as well as a large freestanding fridge for extra space. Of course, there is also all the crockery and cookware you'll need for a family gathering.

Moving back through the dining area to the elegant downstairs living room. It's a delightfully comfortable room with two deep sumptuous sofas arranged around a wood burner and large curved Smart TV with Sky. The owners have thoughtfully left a well-stocked bookcase with books for all ages, stargazing guides, mAgazines and games to keep you entertained and there is a lovely writing desk looking up the valley; quite the inspirational spot for postcard writing! Or, if you need to catch up on a bit of work here, there's high speed Wi-Fi to keep you going! There is also a handy downstairs WC just off the living area with drying space for wet bits and bobs.

Ascending to the first-floor guests are greeted by the stunning upstairs living area. Another beautifully designed space, it has a comfy sofa, Smart TV with Sky and an elegant Charles Eames style armchair, which is definitely the seat to commandeer as your own! This, being a second lounge, could be described as a snug but that doesn't quite do it justice! The curved panoramic windows really make the most of the uninterrupted views up to the head of the valley. The owners have left binoculars for you to spot the local wildlife and scan the fell tops. It's also the most stunning room for stargazing in Ennerdale's wonderful dark skies on clear nights. Here, you will also find a games console along with a excellent library of movies and games.

The four elegant bedrooms are all on the first floor and all include John Lewis Natural Collection beds and mattresses, luxury bed linen and professional hairdryers. The master bedroom has wonderful dual aspect views, a gorgeous king size, upholstered bed frame, a hanging rail and dresser for storage and an en-suite shower room. The shower has a large walk-in enclosure with mixer shower and large drencher head. The second bedroom has super-king, upholstered, zip-and-link bed which can be made up as a twin should you require (please advise on booking). The room has a large wardrobe and chest of drawers, more stunning views up the valley and another beautifully appointed en-suite shower room. The garden is not fully fenced as claimed. There is nowhere to dry bath towels. Cooking facilities would struggle for 8 people. Sky TV package is only basic but broadband speed is good. Lovely location. Great space and utilities, en-suites, bathrooms, bedrooms.

We had the loveliest weekend at Lily Hall. Spectacular location and the views from the upstairs lounge were just amazing - I could have sat there for days.
