Sleeping four people in two comfortable bedrooms it's a welcoming and cosy cottage with a world of amenities right on the doorstep. Not to mention the shores of glorious Derwentwater just a short stroll away. Why not explore the Borrowdale Valley from onboard one of Keswick's beautiful launches? These stately vessels wind their way around the lake offering visitors the chance to hop off at one of the seven landing stages or just to enjoy the staggering scenery from the water.
If walking is your passion then you could scarcely be better placed as Keswick is surrounded by glorious fells. Mighty Skiddaw stands guard over the town and, if you're feeling energetic and well prepared, makes a wonderful walk right from the door. A rewarding and somewhat easier fell to scale is Latrigg, it's a great stretch of the legs with a wonderful panorama as your reward. For the history buffs among you then Castlerigg Stone Circle lies just a mile outside the town. This ancient and mysterious site sits on a plateau commanding stunning views of the surrounding fells. Keswick is a delightful town for families to visit as it boasts two parks, one with an excellent playground, the other with its own crazy golf course.
This delightful, bustling town also has a twice weekly market, a fabulous choice of eateries and shops, an art deco cinema and one of the most beautifully situated theatres you could possibly find. Whatever side of this wonderful area you'd like to explore then this cottage is perfectly placed for you to make the most of it.
On arrival at the cottage guests enter via the small patio area to the front of the entrance hallway with two steps down to the spacious bathroom. The room has a modern white suite with over-bath mixer shower and fresh bright decor. Also on this floor is the comfortable king-size zip and link bedroom (which can be made into a twin room upon request). This has a wardrobe, bedside tables, chest of drawers and a divan double bed with drawers
Moving up the corner staircase you first reach the double bedroom. Furnished with a divan double bed, wardrobe and bedside tables with drawers, it also has lovely exposed beams. Along the upstairs landing you'll also find a handy utility cupboard with a washer dryer.
Finally to the main living space, once Again this is a delightful double height open plan space with exposed beams housing the living area, dining space and kitchen. The room has a gorgeous wood burner as its focal point making it a wonderful cosy space for snuggling up on chilly evenings. Guests can relax in one of the two deep comfy sofas while catching up on a good book or watching the wall mounted Smart TV. You might well spend your evenings around the dining table planning your Lake District days out. Through here is also the well-equipped kitchen. This benefits from a raised double fan oven, a small dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and fridge with freezer compartment.
Outside the house has its own designated parking space for a small-medium family car which is accessed through a height restricted archway and extra shared overflow car parking for an additional car on a first come, first served basis and a bench for enjoying an outdoor cuppa or two.
