We had a very comfortable stay in The Stables. This was very welcome given the rain. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. It is a short walk into Keswick but is far enough away to be lovely and quiet. We loved our stay and wouldnt hesitate to book it again.

We had a fabulous time staying at the cottage, which was effectively home from home during our stay with all creature comforts provided and spotlessly clean. Excellent cottage, close to town/shops and eateries. Kitchen was a dream to cook in and log burner really helped to provide a cosy resting place after a day out walking and exploring. If youre planning to stay a week, invest in the 7 day river bus pass. Its cheaper and you can hop on and off around the lake to undertake different walks. Superb cottage in every way. The owners put the in a lot of care and attention to detail and we note from the visitors book that many people (including us) make repeat visits. The only thing to be aware of is that the parking is somewhat tight but we managed fine.
