This lovely homey cottage has been in the owner's family for four generations! The charming terraced row of cottages was built by the owner’s great grandfather and is now a cosy holiday home that sleeps four people in two bedrooms, making it ideal for small families, couples and friends.
The location in Keswick is hard to beat. The town centre is just a two minute level walk away whilst the scenic Fitz Park and River Greta are less than a minute in the other direction. The property has private parking and a pleasant sitting out area, both a real bonus in Keswick.
Keswick is known as the 'Adventure Capital of England' and boasts plenty of great outdoor shops as wells as a number of interesting independent shops. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the town including several good pubs, bars and restaurants. Derwentwater is a 10-minute walk away and there are a huge number of fantastic walks straight from the door including the fells of Skiddaw, Latrigg, Walla Crag and Catbells. You can hire boats on the lake and bike hire is available from three different locations in the town.
Steps from road level lead to the front door that opens to the sitting room and kitchen with dining area. The lounge comfortably seats four people and features a Smart TV.
The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, slimline dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and electric oven with a four-ring halogen hob. The back door offers level access from the outside.
Stairs off the sitting room lead to a landing from which there are two bedrooms, both decorated in a lovely contemporary fashion. The first is a lovely king-size bedroom with a wall-mounted TV and amazing fell views over the rooftops of Keswick. The second is a standard double bedroom. The shower room has a shower cubicle, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.
There is designated parking for one car at the rear of the cottage terrace. The unenclosed rear garden is accessed by steps from the rear passageway and has has a sitting out area: it's a lovely place for a morning coffee or to grab the last rays of sun in the evening. There is also bike storage available.
