Having a central position in Keswick, the cottage is just a minute’s walk from the bustling town centre where you will find restaurants, independent shops, pubs, a cinema and a theatre. Derwentwater is within a 10-minute walk. There are some fantastic walks right on the doorstep including Latrigg, Skiddaw and the old railway line to Threlkeld. Nearby Fitz Park boasts a local museum, cafe, children's playground, flat green bowls, tennis courts and a BMX jump track.
This period house offers six bedrooms - one of which is on the ground floor - four bathrooms and spacious, well-equipped self-catering accommodation. Several of the bedrooms feature zip-and-link twin beds that can be converted into super-king beds, making this cottage ideal for different groups of guests including families, friends or walking/biking groups. The house maintains its period charm whilst providing modern amenities such as TVs, en-suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi and a pool table. There is one off-road parking space and roadside parking (unrestricted overnight). The convenient location makes it possible enjoy all the main highlights of Keswick on foot.
The kitchen and dining room are on the first floor, making the most of the tall windows and lovely views to Latrigg, River Greta and Fitz Park. The dining room has a window seat, TV and pool table. There is a double bedroom with and en-suite shower room on this floor.
On the second floor there are three twin bedrooms with zip-and-link beds that can be linked together as super-king-size beds if required - please let us know at the time of booking. There also is a family bathroom with a bath and shower, and an additional shower room on this floor.
The attic room features twin beds. This is an annexed room with the twin bedroom accessed off the sitting area. A delux mattress topper is available for the sofa bed for extra comfort.
Outside there is an outhouse utility room and a shed with a BBQ. The garden is enclosed and there is a separate studio flat at the end of the garden sleeping two people and having its own entrance, which can be booked separately.
There is parking for one car accessed from Victoria Street down a short drive and additional roadside parking is also available. The parking on Station Street is disc restricted but overnight there is no restriction.
