This cottage is situated in the quiet village of Braithwaite, nestled beneath the Coledale Fells and has been refurbished to a high standard to provide comfortable self-catering accommodation for six people.
There are three bedrooms: two king-size bedrooms and a bunk bedroom with adult sized bunks, all decorated in a fresh modern style with luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding. There is a comfortable sitting room with a wood burner and a modern kitchen.
There are superb walks from the door, whether you fancy tackling the huge Coledale Horseshoe or just a simple stroll along the valley floor in Newlands Valley. Whinlatter Forest offers some of the best mountain biking in the Lake District with specially designed routes through the mountain forest taking you into the heart of the forest to open fellside. Braithwaite benefits from two good local pubs and a hotel all serving food for every taste.
The kitchen and dining area are open plan with newly fitted units. The kitchen has a Belfast sink, undercounter fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, electric oven and gas hob. The dining area has table and chairs and a wood burner (initial supply of fuel provided). The separate sitting room is spacious and light with comfortable seating, a TV and DVD, Bose docking station and a wood burner.
Stairs lead to the first-floor bedrooms. The two king-size bedrooms have built-in hanging space and drawers. The bunk room has adult-sized bunks. The bedrooms are comfortably furnished with sumptuous Eygptian cotton bedding. There is a contemporary bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath, separate rainhead corner shower, WC and heated towel rail.
Outside at the rear of the cottage, there is a covered walkway and a separate outhouse with WC. There is a rear patio with table and chairs and an enclosed lawned garden. There is ample unrestricted roadside parking and at weekends you can park at the local primary school for a small donation.
