A cosy, traditional country-style cottage, sleeping five guests in Keswick town, close to Derwentwater, Skiddaw and Scafell Pike.
The cosy family home enjoys a quiet location in the bustling town of Keswick. The area is a paradise for walkers, with the iconic fells of Scafell Pike, Skiddaw, and Blencathra all within 10 miles. The town itself is full of Lakeland charm, with cosy pubs, cute cafes, and independent restaurants. The cottage sleeps five guests and two canine companions, making it ideal for a family getaway or holiday with friends. After a day of adventure, return to the holiday home to snuggle by the open fire or dine alfresco in the pretty cottage garden.
The Victorian cottage has a real home-away-from-home vibe, with adorable accessories and beautiful landscape paintings throughout. Come together for family mealtimes around the dining table by the warming open fire, before sinking into the comfortable sofas in the lounge to read a book or watch TV. Upstairs, discover the three inviting bedrooms, all of which have been decorated in calm tones. Choose from two doubles and a single. From the kitchen, a door leads to the outdoor area. The enclosed space is surrounded by a low stone wall and has a lovely array of mature shrubs and flowers, as well as an area for al fresco dining.
On the edge of the town, you’ll find Derwentwater (0.5 miles). This majestic lake is the ideal place to fully unwind in beautiful surroundings. Take a stroll along the water’s edge to the viewpoint at Friar’s Crag, share a picnic on one of the pebble beaches, or hop on the Keswick Launch to peacefully glide across the water. If you’re looking for something slightly more high-octane, head to Whinlatter Forest Park (5 miles), where you’ll discover a plethora of mountain bike tracks, exhilarating walking trails, and a whole host of high ropes and zip wires at Go Ape.
