Holme is handily located for exploring South Cumbria. It is easily accessed from the M6 whilst maintaining a tranquil setting close to the Lancaster Canal. Holme looks to the distinctive limestone crags on the edge of the Lune valley and close to the Yorkshire Dales. To the west, the Arndale and Silverdale AONB is within a ten minute drive making Beckside perfect choice for nature lovers.
The nearest pub is a traditional pub serving good food and local ales. The pub has an excellent reputation and serves takeaway fish and chips during opening hours. The 555 bus service stops in the vilage, connecting Holme with the Lake District on the journey between Lancaster and Keswick.
The southern reaches of the Lake District are within a 30-minute drive, including the beautiful and rarely visited Lyth valley. The railway station at Arnside is part of the scenic west coast line, travelling all the way to Maryport.
The front door opens to the hallway off which there is a spacious kitchen. The kitchen has a window to the rear garden and is equipped with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and induction hob and table and chairs for dining. The utility area is open plan to the kitchen and has a further sink, washing machine and separate dryer.
The sitting room has a comfortable seating area around the TV, which benefits from Freeview and a DVD player. There also is a Bang and Olufsen CD player.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, a double and a bunk bedroom. The double bedroom has a double bed and a pine wardrobe whilst the bunk room has child-sized bunk beds. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom featuring a bath with mains shower over, WC and a wash basin.
Stairs lead from the hallway to the first floor which has a lovely double bedroom with wall mounted TV and fell views. The en-suite shower room has an electric shower, WC and wash basin.
Outside there is a small front garden and a sheltered back garden with shrubs and lawned area. There is a bench and seat for sitting out and a a outside is a driveway for parking up to two cars.
