From lake cruises to fell hikes, this welcoming abode is the perfect base from which to explore the magic of the Lake District National Park.
This is a charming Lake District cottage. Part of a beautiful Lakeland stone terrace that was built by the previous owner's great grandfather, it is situated in a popular part of Keswick town. This traditional cottage has been lovingly renovated to give a light and homey feel, perfect for families or couples. The lounge is great for relaxing after a hard days walking with the wood burner-effect fire and open-plan layout making the cottage very cosy and sociable.
The location of the cottage is hard to beat, just a minutes walk from the centre of Keswick and all its amenities, while still having private parking and a quiet garden with views of Skiddaw. So if you don't fancy cooking one evening there are plenty of options for local Cumbrian food and ales within a short stroll. The town is not the only thing within easy reach as Derwentwater is only a 10-minute walk away, where you can take a rowing boat out or catch the Launch which is a water bus service running around the Lake. This gives access to hundreds of different walks of all levels straight from the door, so you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Lake District's stunning scenery.
The entrance hallway gives access to the open-plan sitting room and kitchen with dining area. On entering you come to the lounge area, which comfortably seats four. There is a 42' Smart TV with a DVD player and a wonderful wood burner-effect fire.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and electric oven with four electric hobs.
Stairs from the entrance hallway lead to a landing off which are two bedrooms: a lovely double with dual aspect window, a twin, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Outside is a pretty garden with a apple tree and table and chairs. Please be aware that there is an unfenced 1.5m drop in the garden, so children should be supervised at all times.
