All of the spacious bedrooms all feature their own en-suites, TVs, personal thermostat for controlling the underfloor heating. The dining table can seat 25 people in comfort and all the bedrooms have their own relaxed seating; ideal for some quiet contemplation during your stay at the property.
The large garden has wonderful views looking down the Buttermere Valley, across to Skiddaw as well as Grasmoor and Red Pike. Perfect for sitting out and enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine as you watch the sun set over the fells. There are hundreds of walks straight from your front door.
Cockermouth, birthplace of William Wordsworth, is a short drive. It has a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars. The high street has several independent shops and boutiques.
Keswick is only 15 minutes away and is known as the 'Outdoor adventure capital of England' making it the ideal place for all the thrill seekers visiting the area whether it be by bike, rope, water or paraglider.
You enter into a foyer where you will find an original bread oven in the corner to your left. The door directly in front of you takes you into the stairwell, off here is the first of three double bedrooms. The Old Stable, Stable 1 and Stable 2 are all spacious double rooms with en-suites, two of which have a walk in shower, WC and wash basin. The Old Stable has a bath with fixed shower head above it, WC and wash basin.
Going back through to the foyer then turning right takes you into the large lounge with comfortable seating, TV, DVD player and a large wood burner set in one of the largest working fire places/chimneys in the Lake District. This then opens out into the spacious dining room with seating for 25. There is also a wonderful original old boiling pot as you enter the dining room. To your right is the door leading to the spacious garden.
The lawned garden is extremely large and has a patio with outdoor furniture as well as the lawned area with beautiful views towards the Buttermere Valley and across to Skiddaw, Grasmoor and Red Pike.
Back into the dining room then down the corridor takes you into the kitchen which has an electric range cooker, microwave, dishwasher and large freestanding fridge as well as freestanding freezer. There is also plenty of storage space in the kitchen.
Out of the kitchen, turn right and through into another corridor, the first door is the utility room which has a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a WC. The next room along is Byre 1 with 3 single beds and en-suite which has walk in shower, WC, basin and handrails these are also wheelchair friendly. Next to this bedroom is Byre 2, a family room with a double bed and 2 single beds. The en-suite is Again wheelchair friendly with walk in shower, WC, basin and handrails.
You ascend to the first floor by climbing the original 16th century staircase and from the landing is a door to your left which takes you into a hallway where you will find Swallow Loft, a twin bedroom with en-suite which has a bath with fixed shower head, WC and wash basin. Next to this room is Hayloft a family room with a double bed and a second annexed area with twin beds. Again there is an en-suite which has a bath with fixed shower head above, WC and wash basin.
Heading back to the landing there is another door in front of you leading to a long corridor. Directly in front of you is The Master's Room which has a king-size four-poster bed, a small seating area, with leather, sofa and large bathroom, Again which has a bath with fixed shower head, WC, bidet and wash basin.
Along the corridor is Cruck 1 with a king-size double with leather sofa and en-suite which has walk in shower, WC, and wash basin. Next door to here is Cruck 2, Again with a king-size double and en-suite which has a bath with fixed shower head, WC and wash basin.
