Situated on the edge of the market town of Keswick, Lakeland fells surround this log cabin and there are fabulous walks from your door as well as some great dog-friendly pubs.
Pack your loved one and dog for a romantic holiday in Cumbria. You’ll be staying in a charming log cabin, just outside Keswick, a bustling town with an excellent market in the Lake District. Spend evenings relaxing and enjoying the quiet, then climb a mountain, paddle in a lake or see incredible wildlife.
You’ll start in a wood-panelled lounge/diner with a foldaway table for additional space. This room is a nice spot to relax and spend quality time with your partner whilst your dog curls up in her bed, and you can light the wood burner-effect electric fire to make everything snuggly. The galley-style kitchen is just next door, the ideal size for two people. There are plenty of innovative appliances which make cooking easy and ensure you have everything you need for food prep. Continue to the double bedroom, a comfortable place where you’re sure to get plenty of rest. The final room is an en-suite shower room with a WC. The lodge has a nice veranda with a table, so you can take a book or a drink outside and enjoy the peace.
The nearest town is Keswick, 1 mile away, where you’ll find a weekly craft market. There are regular shops and amenities for anything you might need, and the best part is Derwentwater, the nearby lake. Check out walking routes and see if you can hike to Ashness Bridge (3.5 miles from the property). It’s an old stone bridge, originally used by pack horses. Now, you can get a great view of the lake. You’ll also be 21.5 miles from Providence Bay Beach in Whitehaven.
