This cosy, well-presented barn conversion is set in the heart of the Eden Valley on the edge of the Lake District and part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Take a little group for a big holiday in Cumbria. You’ll be staying in a beautiful barn conversion in an area rich with incredible landscapes and fascinating history. The property would suit a small family or a few friends, and comes with a wonderful garden and summerhouse, so you’ll always have somewhere nice to relax.
The property is all on one level, so start off in the open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner, which has some of the original elements still in place – like exposed beams and a wood burner – and some modern touches, like a skylight and kitchen appliances. After an exciting day, this is a great spot to take a moment and unwind. Continue through to the bedrooms. There’s a king-size bedroom and a single bedroom, both simply decorated and very comfortable. The interior is completed by a shower room with a WC. Head outside, where you’ll see a patio with a shaded dining area, so you can take your meals in the sunshine, and there’s a lawn for games and sunbathing. Everything is enclosed by a wooden fence. To one side, you’ll notice a summerhouse, which is finished in a charming and quirky way, and would be great for quiet reading or having a drink.
This property is in the small village of Warcop, only 4 miles from the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You’ll have lots of great places to walk and cycle. There’s the Rutter Force waterfall (6 miles) which is also lovely and worth a visit. If you’d like to learn about the local history, take a trip to Brough Castle, 3.5 miles away.
