Perfect for friends, families and couples exploring the beautiful countryside of Cumbria, the cottage is situated in a picturesque Eden Valley village within easy reach of Penrith and the eastern fringes of the Lake District. Featuring a large garden with far-reaching views, this stylish property makes a lovely getaway, ideal for eager walkers, climbers and nature lovers discovering the region’s beautiful surroundings.

The bright and tastefully decorated lounge is a lovely space for everyone to settle back, unwind, watch a movie or chat about the day. The fully equipped kitchen/diner is perfect for everyone to gather, plan the day’s activities and rustle up a fantastic family meal which you can enjoy round the traditional country-style dining table. Exploring this light and fresh property further, there’s a choice of three spacious double bedrooms plus a lovely single room, along with a family bathroom and a handy shower room. Patio doors lead from the lounge and the kitchen into the large, enclosed garden, which has a patio and outdoor furniture, providing a lovely spot to sit back and admire the views as you enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine.

The historic market town of Penrith (8 miles) has plenty of great places to eat and drink, plus attractions including the popular Rheged Centre and the remains of Penrith Castle. The North Pennines (1 mile to the east) offers miles of wonderful walking opportunities, as does the Lake District, with Ullswater the nearest of the lakes (13 miles). Other local landmarks and attractions include Lacy’s Caves (7.5 miles), Dalemain Mansion (11 miles), Lowther Castle and Gardens (12 miles) and Brougham Castle (9.5 miles).

The cottage was Spotless and beautifully maintained. The welcome basket was really thoughtful and the cottage lacked nothing. A beautiful location made for a perfect base to go walking in the Lakes. The local pub served fantastic food and was really welcoming. The cottage was everything that we wanted for a family get together. Beautiful large property in very peaceful countryside location. It is larger than it appeared in photographs. Small play area 5 minute walk away with swing, slide and few other bits in large field was loved by my 2 year old. The local pub open Friday Saturday and Sunday evenings serves great food. A beautiful rural location. The property was perfect for our family of 7 adults and our small granddaughter (who loved the Paw Patrol toilet seat and wide selection of games) . Tucked away in a quiet village with a lovely view, this bungalow was spacious and well equipped. It was a great base for visiting local sites as well as being comfortable, homely and relaxing.
