In a secluded, remote location west of Coniston Water, this stunning and beautifully updated barn conversion offers spacious and elegant accommodation for eight guests. This marvellous property has been attractively furnished and tastefully decorated throughout, and features a soothing hot tub, two wood burners and impressive balconies offering stunning views. Set on a working farm, this is a fantastic base for discovering the southern reaches of the Lake District. The property dates back to the 18th century and has been imaginatively restyled to offer a fabulous backdrop to a reunion or celebration.

This amazing property has a gorgeous, vaulted entrance hall with a glazed gallery and several spacious light-filled living areas, including a stunning open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner perfect for family celebrations or for relaxing with a movie in the evening. The main lounge features impressive floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a welcoming wood burner and spellbinding views over the fells. A glass staircase leads up to the four elegant bedrooms, three of them en-suite, and all with Smart TVs and lovely views. The property also has a mezzanine level with an additional sofa bed and an array of books. Outside, you can unwind in the hot tub, enjoy a meal in the BBQ area, or sit back on one of the four terraces as children play in the enclosed garden.

A bridle path leads from the garden towards Coniston Fells, with miles of rural trails to follow. Broughton-in-Furness (3.5 miles) has some friendly pubs and restaurants. Also nearby are four fantastic golf courses and attractions including Silecroft Beach, Grizedale Forest, the South Lakes Safari Zoo and The Old Man of Coniston (all within 17 miles). Heading east you can explore the breathtaking Coniston Water (9.5 miles), with both Esthwaite Water (15 miles) and Windermere (18 miles) just a little further on.

This property is absolutely beautiful with stunning views! Very secluded so if youre looking to get away and chill this is perfect. If like us you ventured out still a lot to do within the Lake District just comes with a drive. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub watching the entertaining sheep. If you want a remote, quiet getaway, this is absolutely perfect. The views are stunning, and there are lots of areas to walk and explore. Because of the size of the house, even with 7 of us staying, plus dogs, we never felt cramped or on top of one another. The wifi was great, which was an added bonus as I had to work remotely when there. Roads to Read moreand from are narrow, but this just adds to the experience. A beautiful property in a stunning location. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated and is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. It is extremely spacious with lots or room for everyone (we were a party of 8). The views are amazing and you really feel at one with nature. The cottage was lovely. A gorgeous location surrounded by beautiful countryside and lots of walks. It was very clean and tidy with everything we needed. Fantastic space to stay in with lovely walks from the door. Large and spacious adn intesting design so there are plenty of spaces for each member of the family to occupy. Cottage is located in a stunning location that took our breath away in its beauty. The cottage is luxurious in terms of large size and walks from the door are great. Beautiful location if you like to be a little more out and remote countryside. Some lovely walks from your doorstep and amazing views. Be careful of heat control in electric showers - water temp very temperamental

What a stunning property in such a beautiful setting. So relaxing to be able to have dogs there with an enclosed garden and no rules posted everywhere about what they can and can't do! It was clean, warm and cosy and well appointed throughout. We had such a lovely stay.

What a house and what a location!! Truely stunning. We fell in love with this place and the mountain walks. Will be using again. Just make sure you get there via the instructions given and not from the north road from Conniston!! Its doable but not recommended.

Ideal family accommodation. Plenty of room and comfortable seating areas. Hot tub was a bonus after long walks around the Lakes sight seeing. There have been some negative comments for this property, many of which I would label as unfair. The beds are marmite! Half our group were fine with them,half hated them! Outside furniture falling to pieces Cleanliness poor and glasswork dirty especially bedroom windows / mezzanine The hot tub wasnt cleaned after last residents full of grit /sand. Our party of 7 had a fabulous week in this stunning location. The house is fantastic, very clean, and the views to the sea are amazing. We all loved the hot tub - elemental when raining! The road is indeed narrow but thankfully hardly used and added to the generally dreamy atmosphere. We had a great Sunday lunch at the Queens Head in Hawkshead and Read morethe boys loved the wild swimming round about. Can recommend a wonderful 10k circular walk around Duddon Valley with Newfield Inn halfway along. Hide

This place is stunning and amazing location if you love the countryside! Great for dogs as big secure garden. Coniston lake and sile Croft beach not far away and are lovely! We had a wonderful week, we came as a family of 8 and there was more than enough space, also lots of space for the dogs to relax and explore outside in a secure garden. Location is so peaceful and the perfect place to unwind. Facilities were great, hot tub was a bonus. We would highly recommend and definitely would stay again when Im the area.
